I bought this 2nd Generation night rifle scope 5 years ago, mounted it on my PCP pneumatic air rifle, and intended to hunt rats with it. But, I never found any public place to safely go at night to do this. As I am otherwise not a hunter, this scope has sat in my safe unused for practically the entire time that I have owned it. I have in fact just finished selling my pneumatic air rifle last week on "Airgun Forum" . The scope has no more then a combined time of about 1 ½ hours of use on it done during sighting it in, and playing with it in my backyard a few times. I will sell it for $725 shipped UPS insured.
The unit looks and works just like new, and is in perfect condition. I paid over a $1,000 for this unit , and I will include the original receipt. Beware of web sights that are still posting a cheaper unit that was being offered in the past and has an inferior “D grade 2” intensifier tube in it. I called ATN to check about this when an ARFCOM shopper here started telling me that he could get my scope new for $725 . I couldn't understand how my scope could be offered for such a low price, so I called ATN to get the scoop about it. ATN explained to me that a couple of years back, some scopes were being offered with defective intensifier tubes at greatly reduced prices. These web sights still advertise it even today, but don't bother to provide the details that it's a scope with a really bad "D" grade tube. It makes them look like they have such great prices, while everybody else is just a thief. But, if you click on the "BUY IT NOW", all you get is a "Discontinued. Call for substitutes." This is unscrupulous bait and switch tactics. ATN described to me the hazy and distorted images of the "D" grade tube, and that it is very obvious when looking through the scope.
When I bought this scope in person from DRB Enterprises of Lol., Florida, for over $1000, I checked 4 ARIES MK6500 scopes he had before choosing this specimen as having the sharpest and brightest images. The unit comes with a remote switch which is still new in the unopened bag.
If you make a quick call to ATN, and provide them with the serial number of my scope, they will verifly that my scope is the top grade unit. Contact me for the Serial Number and other helpfull inormation I can provide if you'd like to do that..
