Very early slab side (no brass deflector or forward assist) M-16 upper with 20” pencil barrel, A1 birdcage flash suppressor, A1 style sights, and new Colt A2 hand guards. This was purchased in unused condition by me a few months ago (had been sitting in storage for nearly 40 years) with the intent of making it into a super light disipator, but I’ve decided to just get an M4 upper instead. After running about 300 rounds through it, I’ve found it to be accurate and 100% reliable.
This would be the perfect upper for a light-weight project or for creating a period correct M16 replica (just replace the hand guards with triangle and you’re done). This upper is a small-hole variant and is finished in the typical Colt gray.
Upper is sold pending funds.
