I just received my "refurbished" Bulgy AK74 side folder kit today. I am extremely pleased with the kit I received!
All of the numbers match (except for the bayo as Todd indicated). The kit just looks a little used. It is certainly not a worn out rifle that was refinished to hide the condition. There is a moderate amount of finish worn off of the bolt/carrier group, but there is little if any finish missing on the other parts. The black plastic handguards and pistol grip have some scratches as you would expect. Overall, I'd say the kit that I received is in excellent condition. Great job Todd!
On another note, I'd like to offer a couple of packaging suggestions. I also received a four pack of new AK74 magazines that I purchased along with my kit. Included with the magazines was a new pouch. Unfortunately, the magazines I received were loose inside a long box, so they couldn't be stored inside the pouch. I'd suggest putting the magazines inside the pouch to protect them from scratching each other. They were able to slide around in there and a couple managed to scratch each other a little. If they can't be put in a pouch, then I'd suggest wrapping them in newspaper or something to protect their newness.
Also, on this kit and a previous new kit that I purchased, the pistol grip was put in a bag along with a bunch of small metal parts. As you can imagine, small metal parts + plastic grip + FedEx = scratches on plastic. I'd suggesting wrapping the pistol grip seperately to protect it. These are just my suggestions. Take them or leave them as you would like. Regardless, I'm very pleased with your service.
