Jeff is a no show on a major purchase. Earlier this month, he asked me to hold a preban AR15 for him. For doing this, he would pay me my asking price, plus an extra $100.
I responded that I'd be happy to, only that I don't want him to pay the extra money. He agreed.
Today, he tells me the deal is off, as he's only 17 years old and his dad won't go through.
I'm not mad at him, but I do think that I would have thought differently if I had known that he was only 17 and hadn't asked his dad yet. When I was 17, I sure wouldn't commit to buy something for $1400 that my dad needed to sign for before I knew I had the money or his permission.
Anyways, lesson learned. Jeff, please don't commit to things you can't come through on. I hope you learn more from this lesson than I did.
