I heard that the americans have a nickname for the PSG1: "The Black Magic"

Is it true?

That's news to me, Paolo... sorry I'm not much help.

The name I've always heard it called is "Impossibly Expensive"

Seriously, I just don't think enough folks use it for it to garner a nickname.

I call it "the kidney" since you pretty much have to sell one to buy a PSG1.

For us is starting to be IMPOSSIBLE to buy AR15 in Italy. And Brugger & Thomet announced that will stop to produce for the civilian market the BT96, the semiauto only MP5 clone.

Dark days ahead, folks...

No americans own a PSG1, so no way we could have a nickname for it.

I think it's nickname is PSG1

Not enough of them are in civvy hands to garner a nickname, thanx to the 89' import ban IIRC.

There's one for sale in town here-$11,000.

If I had the money...

I had one in my hands about 3 yrs ago. It too was $11,000 I asked John in lexington, KY. if I could put in Layaway on the 11 year program. Too bad 90 days was all he could go. If only, 8 more years now and it would be all mine!!!

BTW: it was freaking sweet! But I just can't see paying that much for it though.
