Exactly.I thought that stripped of anodizing AR was the biggest idiot I've ever seen but this probably takes the prize.At least the AR15 moron only fu**ed up a $800 rifle.What floored me was the ARFCOM members that posted "That looks cool!!!" BTW-Anybody got the URL for that polished AR?I want to post it on HKPRO to show them this idjit not's alone. |

The pictures dont do it justice, NP3 is quite a bit "greyer" than those pics look.
If you can get past the strange color is really a nice finish. Super slick , damn near impervious to solvents, corrosion, etc. I had a Sig 229 that was NP3ed. Just wipe it off with a rag to clean. Nothing stuck to it. On an HK, NP3 would make cleaning the trunion, bolt carrier , etc a snap. So, while 100% visually funky, if you were gonna actually use the rifle hard, not a bad choice of finishes. |
