Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Should a trunion be able to just slide into a new receiver?

I've owned a couple HKs but I've never put one together from parts.  I have an FMP receiver and an FMP trunion, and I thought both the trunion and the barrel had to be pressed into the receiver.  Is it just the barrel that's pressed in?  The trunion goes in with no force at all.  Just checking if this is normal.

Situation normal.

Barrel presses into trunnion, trunnion slides into receiver.

Yep... the trunion is welded into the receiver, but the barrel is pressed into the trunion.
