Seems like everyone likes the wide handgard the best. JLD has this new "tactical" forearm that they make or have made. why don't they reproduce the HK wide forarm?

I don't believe JLD ever *made* wide handguards, they just had them.

JLD is no longer offering standard rifles with the wide handguards.

There might be a few still floating around.

Not top notch. Just left over FMP POF and HK contact stuff they bought up. Others like FAC and Surplus International had little piles of them too. It seems like it is all used up now. Not unlike the cheap surplus mags we are enjoying now.

Probably because it costs approx $40,000 to make a mold and they most likely think they wouldn't be able to recoup their investment.
