Pelican 1720. Originally had an SR25 so the foam has been F'd with a few times.

The Mod 2 Gas Block is located where the 203 front mounting area is. The hangers didn’t have enough clearance and had to be removed to mount the RIS II.

How is the clearance of the MLok lower picatinny rail section to the gas block? Any impacts to the gas block when shooting?

The 14.5 with Atacr is my “do all” carbine. What an incredible setup - speed and precision.

Took my new cqb out for the first time. Shot really good with the can, no unsuppressed shooting today. I did put a sprinco blue spring in it to try, I liked it. Soon as it gets warm I’m gonna need to rattle can this thing as it’s a keeper.  Need to do a few more personally liked mods and it’s finished.

How is the SF mini on a 14.5 mod 2? Seems like a good fit and a few people running them here.

Indeed. Almost the same length as a CQB + full length can, but you get the longer Mod 2 gas system.

Interesting. I've got a 14.5" w/ a P/W MAMS and a recently released SOCOM mini. Considering having the MAMs removed and a SF3P pinned. Or sell the upper and not butcher the MAMs

Trying out the new PA 1-8 Compact on my Mod 2. It's a relatively short, lightweight package for a 1-8 LPVO. Shooting it this weekend and have a 508T inbound for the top scope ring. Not sure this is a permanent optic for this rifle or not, time will tell.

What light is that?

Looking for a mini size light that uses CR123’s and I’ve been hearing good things about Modlite but from what I can gather they use rechargeable batteries.

Modlights are dual fuel, which means you can use rechargeable batteries or CR123 batteries. This is covered in their product page, so don't just take my word for it. Modlight info

Didn't know they went dual fuel. The last ones I bought were rechargeable only.

Thanks. For some reason I got the impression that only the larger ones were DF. I’ll go back and re-check, don’t want to derail the thread!
