Are you going to shoot it?  Or just look at it?

My ugliest M1 is an old Dec. 44 Greek return, a rack grade rifle.  Not a lot of finish left on it in lots of places.  But it is the best shooting M1 Garand I've ever had on the range and I've got a few.  As bad as I'd hate to get rid of the pretty H&R's and the SA Dec 44 that still has the original barrel, sights, etc. and some of the prettiest walnut you've ever seen on an M1, I'd still keep the ugly one because of the way it shoots.  I'm a shooter and I'm not very pretty either, so we fit together pretty well.

You've got to decide why you want that M1.

Get rid of?  Really??

Look at it this way.  You've only got 3 more Garands to buy to have the complete collection.  Wartime SA, WRA, Postwar SA, IHC and HRA.  Then you need one more for an even six so you can stack them properly!

Ooh then you need an M1C and an M1D

Then a TE, SA, RRAD, O and a LEAD rebuild.

Am I missing any?

Looking at this from the opposite side of M1A4ME's question above: Why do you want to get rid of one?
Unless you are in desperate need of money to save your child's or dog's life, selling an iconic rifle that is no longer made and becoming increasingly scarce seems like a really bad idea.
Sell an AR if you really need money.

Both

Garands are like knives. 1 is good but more are better

Keep both.  Never sell a Garand unless it's a drill rifle after being stripped of useful parts.

I had to sell one this year too.  Money is tight.  It happens.

I'd keep the Springfield if it was a decent shooter.  But I'm not really sure it makes much of a difference.   Which one do you like better?   I'll be honest though, I don't know if one is more valued than another by buyers.  You could ask on the CMP forums.  They might know there.

I'd recommend doing this:

1) Don't get rid of either.

2) Figure out which one shoots the best  ... Let's just say it's your HRA.

3) Send the S.A. off to Shuff's Parkerizing for his Mini-G  conversion.  If you tell him to use the original '06 barrel to chop and re-crown at 16.1" (which will yield in a new ME of '0'), you'll save about $200 over re-barreling it with a Criterion.

4) You'll end up with a re-purposed M1 that's handy, very accurate, and a hoot to shoot, ... and you can hunt with it anywhere it's legal to hunt with an autoloader fed by a 5-rd en bloc clip.  A bit more portable than a 'Tanker' (18") Garand, and your Mini-G won't have that small bit of extra wood hanging on the barrel.

5)  As something of a 'tactical' upgrade to your Mini-G,  you can install Ultimak's forward rail in place of the rear handguard. The rail effectively turns the Mini into a semi-auto 'Scout' rifle on which you can run either a RDS or a IER scope, like the Burris 2.75x.

keep them both. Don’t mess with either. Just shoot them as g-d himself intended and appreciate that your rifles are a national treasure.

Yeah. There’s a dozen heel stamp variations alone for the IHCs

Not to mention the Winchesters with duplicate serial numbers to the SA's. I'd argue that if you REALLY want to collect different variations, there are almost as many minor Garand variations as Arisaka variations. According to the most recent GCA Journal there are at least 3 variations of gas traps too.

Of course, three gas traps would pay off my house with  some money left over.
