I need some more mags for my M1A, but GIs are alittle steeply priced, although I know they are worth getting.

Question is, are the Type 57 blued mags from Taiwan any good?  I've never used any.

Do they have metal followers like the US GI?

Thanks
Mac

The ones that I got from ammoman during the ban work great.

I got some from sportsmans guide and they work as good as GI.

Yes, they have metal followers.  The 4 Type-57 magazines I have work with 100% reliability.

I bought a bunch at Midway when they were on sale and I had no problems.

My 5 or 6 work just fine, and were a great deal.

The biggest trouble with these mags is finding them. Supplies seemed to dry up everywhere a few months back. If you know where you can still get some at reasonable prices--and anything under $20 per would prolly be a good deal--jump on them!
