I'm ready to purchase a Socom 16.
How accurate are these?
What should I expect on the accuracy department?

Indeed. I expected to have to go prone to have a chance at 200 yards, but no need - strike your best offhand pose and blaze away. Better than expected balance as well, considering how modified from the original design the rifle is.

Thats good to know. I'm on the fence about whether to go with a SOCOM or a scout squad. I'm looking for something that'll be compact and be effective at 300. I'm hoping the SOCOM will fit the bill

Any more info on range and accuracy would be appreciated.

I have seen a SOCOM16 hold the 9 ring on a SR target (200yds), prone, with Aussie ammo last summer..

9 ring on a SR target is 13"

Are we talking about 1moa or 2moa on the socom16's @ 100 yards?

I hit 4" clays at the range set on the dirt bank at 110 yds, first shot, all day with my Aimpoint CompML2x2. Good enough for me...the rifle is more accurate than I'll ever be. This is with American Eagle ammo.

Have a good one!
