they are looking at all matching with 100% intact proof marks and saying " In 60yrs these things will be worth $2000.00"

Well, that looks like an overhead conveyor system like we use at my workplace to hang pumps and run them through the paint booth.  And it looks like barreled receivers hanging off the hooks.  Maybe this is the first run on a new conveyor system at SA?

Gentlemen,


Here's the answer. In the first post "Sea Of Garands" we see the M1 Garands being checked and then greasing the rifles by hand. In this photo we see the NEW Conveyor belt showing final inspection line where the Conveyor is loaded for greasing. This new system is faster then doing it by hand.
Most of you had it correct. However, this was for new issue M1 Garands. These files are dated 1944.
