I'll tell you what - I picked up a couple of SOCOM-2's at soem recent gun shows and said I would never buy one because of its weight and imbalance. I have been looking for another stock for my SOCOM, and fondled a Sage mounted on a SOCOM as the show last weekend. Yes it was heavier than a regular SOCOM but the balance seemed better to me than a SOCOM-2. I ordered a Sage on Monday.

From what I hear (no first hand info) the CHOP-MOD is even a better balance and lighter.

The SOCOM II and the SOCOM II Vltor are great marketing tools.

The SAGE and Chop Mod stocks are great riflemans tools.

IMHO: The most balanced of all the SAGE versions is the Kali-legal one with the fixed buttstock.
This stock can be made even better with the shortened LOP conversion by LAW483.
The AR buffer tube version would be my next pick.

There is nothing wrong with the telescopic butt stock SAGE, except for a little added weight.
