The twist rate for the USGI M14 chromium plated barrel (drawing 7790190) is 1:12.

I have owned 2 M1As with USGI barrels. One Winchester and one TRW. Both were made in 1963. Both are chrome lined and both are 1:10 twist.

the 1903, 1903A3/A4, and the M1 Garand ALL had 1-10" twists.. the M14 is a 1-12" like Different said...... |
