Chuck? I'm sure you would know.

My dad has an M1 Garand that he bought in 1990 from DCM and has never shot it. I've bought 2 bandoleers of Greek ammo to shoot through it. Whats the Battlesight Zero.
TIA

Original battlesight was 300 yards for the M1 (Garand) Rifle. The WW2 "lock bar" sights are marked on the outside of the range knob with the words "Battle Range" with an arrow pointing to the 300 yard mark.

A better zero, however is 200 yards. Zero at 25 yards and the bullet will be an inch high at 200 yards. Set the range scale to 2 when zeroed. You can click up to 3 if you need to or like it better.
