I finally got my first Garand!  I've been wanting one of these rifles since watching old war movies with my Dad in the 60's, and it finally happened.

I got a good deal on a Springfield rifle, and really enjoy it.  However, sometimes it will attempt to eject the clip when there are still 3 or 4 rounds in it.  I just ordered a heavy duty clip latch spring from Fulton.  Is this likely to solve my problem?  Any other advice?

... or the clip latch itself could be worn.

Do a search on this site. This was kicked around a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks, guys.  I'm just happy to finally have one of these rifles to tinker with.
