I just got my form 1 approved and about fell out when I was quoted $375 and up to convert a front end that I supplied.This is a mossberg 500. I am basically turning it into a serbu super shorty . This started out as a 20" persuader type 9 shot. Basically just cut the mag tube. Removed the threaded insert from the cut off piece. Cut the handguard tube off of the pump assembly. Shortened the barrel to almost where I want it (notice the black ink lines on the barrel, once it is up and running I will reduce the barrel more). Removed the barrel lug from the barrel drop with some heat. Ground and fitted it to its new location on the barrel. All that's left is a trip to the tig welder and to drill and tap a section of picatinny rail to the bottom of the slide assembly for a forward grip, serbu won't sell theirs. ( I may get a section of steel pic. rail and weld it instead). So far zero costs and about 2 hours of labor with basic hand tools.

what type of shotgun? Is the barrel removeable? Do you want it threaded for chokes?

I haven't gotten to it yet (so many projects) but if it were me and my form1 SBS, I'd cut it down myself. If you want it threaded for chokes or need to do some work to it for gas on an auto loader I'd send it out
