Benelli/HK police trade in 14" entry

Got GG&G bolt handle, bolt release and follower on the way. Need to find a LED head for the light and find a pin for the trigger group to replace the awful TacStar side saddle plate.

Waiting on my Form 1 to do the exact same thing...just passed 10 months on the wait. What length is your barrel?

How have I not posted in this thread?

L to R: 14" 870, 10.2" NEF SB1, 14" 870 US Secret Service Model factory SBS

Benelli SuperNova, 13", 5+1 12ga.

I lost the front sight after chopping the barrel off 5.5" from the muzzle.  I tried to mount a MRD on the receiver, but it's just stupid, nobody is gonna aim it, just spray and reload.

Finally finished my 8.5" barrel 870.  One pic with an 870 Police 18" for reference.

Similar to the one posted on Pg. 1, probably from the same Turk manufacturer. 13" factory SBS, single trigger, both barrels cylinder bore, and ejectors. $500 Cdn or $410 US.

Just got this one out of NFA limbo. It's a Saiga-12 conversion done by Tony Rumore at Tromix. Barrel has been chopped to 10" and it is pimped up with most of the options Tony was offering: Galil style charging handle, SAW grip, Tri-rail handguard, Shark muzzle brake, Kila Hill folder with LimbSaver recoil pad, XS ghost ring night sights and SRT trigger. The vertical foregrip I added is a FAB Defense folder. Tromix isn't doing the Saiga conversions anymore and this gun is out of the last batch Tony built.

Beautiful wood.
The wood is from Ironwood Designs and done in their Russian Red dye process.   They do great work.

Who makes the stock on the 8970?  I have a 12" SBS 870 with a Magpul stock bit I like pistol grip stocks like yours better.

Mesa tactical urbino stock.  Limbsaver recoil pad and a cheek riser are options with that stock.

And now for something completely different... a 12ga pocket pistol.

I have a bunch of different barrel lengths/gauges, full stocks, and grips of various flavors. Next project is the 8ga barrel assembly. I like to get the full use out of that $200 stamp.

Except, of course, mine is not a flare gun and doesn't explode when fired.

My 14" 870 Marine SBS that I just made a couple of changes to.  This was a "build" that started with a virgin Marine receiver.  I then bought the factory barrel and finished it out with other 870 parts I had on the shelf along with Magpul furniture.  I recently added the Wilson/Scattergun +1 extension and sling.  I also sent the barrel to the good folks at Rose Action Sports to have it machined for RemChokes.  My next activity is to get to the range and pattern test with a couple of defense loads I like using different size choke tubes.

That’s really cool. Who’s making your barrels?

Would like some details. Interested for a future build.

I made it. I had to keep my eyes open, but I finally found a Topper 58 barrel for cheap, since someone had broken off the forearm stud in the past. I shortened it to 4.5" or so, crowned it, fitted the locking shelf, brazed a new stud on, made a new forearm, timed the ejection, machined a block of polymer to hold an AR grip, shortened an AR grip and contoured it, and went from there.

As I said, it took some work. I still think it was worthwhile!

For the 8ga, I'm similarly making my own barrel... but from scratch. 4140 bar stock, 53/64 twist drill, 53/64 plus size reamer, and then I'll use a boring bar to cut a chamber and forcing cone and all. That gets TIG welded to a small bar, where I'll just copy the usual NEF/H&R ejection mechanism along with the locking shelf and all.

Imageshack... ugh. Blacklisted on multiple common add-ons and plug-ins, for good reason. I do hope you won't mind, but I reuploaded your image to a friendlier hosting site, Imgur.

Remington 11.  Shortened forend and magazine tube.
Note the barrel extends past the forend far enough, it won't break the wood when it reciprocates rearward.

Some guys that have posted above (Rem 11's) are going to get a surprise when they find out they cut the barrel too short and it busts up their forend.  Buffman_LT1 clearly had not fired the gun when he posted his pic.  That muzzle device is going to destroy his hand guard when the barrel retracts.

Looks like it works just fine to me.

What length barrel is yours? Looks like a 18" barrel.
