What is the price on those? I've been wanting one for years, but don't want to pay the heavy price.

Samson is projecting retail to be $250-$300.  Hasn't been established yet.

I'll bet it's higher, like $350.

And the 10/22 model is.............

I do not like it for some reason. The handguard is throwing it off.

Also the wood color/grain looks strange to me.

Slight space between grip and trigger guard?

They should have posted this with a SS carbine and it should have been the factory threaded tactical model with factory flash hider.

It will be fine and people will like it but maybe not for me. It is OK.

It would look very nice set up like this with aftermarket front and rear sights like these.

Crap, with these BLACK sights, a SS tactical model and that folding stock, it would be very nice. Crap, I want one now.

I like it well enough, but I have a take-down. Even if they did make a take down model, I think the metal stud for the folder is in a bad spot to use it.

I noticed something very specific in this picture.

The wood is not cut as the original.

In specific the hinge channel cut is ended with a semi circle and much longer. In the original it is square cut and shorter.

Also the edge lines are very sharp on the original and on the copy they are rounded.

No issue but for those wanting to use the new Samson WOOD ONLY as a direct replacement for their used/marked original wood and have it undetectable from the original.  I am one of those persons.

It (The wood) looks thicker than the original, maybe to fit the later model guns?

The newer rounded contours should be less prone to splitting/cracking.

Anyone know if it is legal to sell an original Ruger folding stock to someone living in California?  I probably should have posted this in its own thread, so I did.  In case anyone is interested in the answer here is the link to that thread.

I have a strange suspicion that Samson is going to hold back selling these until Shot Show time.

Trying to grab as much attention at the show as they can get.

I hope I am wrong.

If everything in engineering is complete, and production starts turning out stocks that are ready to ship, they're going to be for sale immediately.  No company within the firearms industry today is so flush with cash that they're going to sit on product that is ready to ship just so they can get a little more media attention at SHOT.  Hell, most manufacturers have even given up on using SHOT show for new product introduction, realizing it's better to release prior to of afterwards so they're not fighting for attention with all the other new products.

I do not know if the new stock will be ready to ship before SHOT, but I can tell you they're not going to be holding back.

not a peep anywhere on this stock for a long time.

was hoping for one in dec as mentioned by the company.

that is not going to happen.

now it is Q1 2020. as stated on FB.

i told you they would hold back and push AFTER hype from shot show.

Samson advises on FB that the stocks will be sold on Shopruger.com

Elsewhere? No indication.

That means at full retail and significant shipping and tax.

I'm sure it'll still go through distributors like most other products that either Samson or Ruger makes, though if they ship all to Ruger, who then distributes them, it'll probably add a little $ to the total.

Though, if you want to gain a little advantage, shopruger.com currently has gift certificates on sale for 80% off. Could buy $200/$300 for $160/$240 and wait for the stock. :)

That is pretty damn SMART!

Looks like sold at $100 face value for $80.

By 3 for $240.

MSRP as reported by Samsom will be <$300. Unless they change their mind.

Ruger will charge MSRP so that puts you at maybe $240 before shipping and tax.

I think they give a % off coupon with new guns also, when you register the gun, but it'd been a bit since my last new Ruger so not sure.

Honestly, I'll take the chances that I can find it for a good price in a couple months rather than spending the $240 at christmas time. I do wish we had more firmer numbers in hand. If distributors are selling it for $225 and you're never going to see it cheaper than $240 anyway, there it is, but we don't even know that Ruger is going to charge $300...

I looked in the box for my 1022, 20% off if you register, but max $20 and only good for "Sportswear and accessories" line. Not sure if the stock would be in that category.

Also GC is "limit one per order", not sure if you can use all of them for one transaction assuming you buy 3 in different transactions.

Is that entirely a bad thing, if the manufacturer of the rifle your accessory is designed to fit, both acknowledges the existence of your product and decides its worth selling via their own store?

so that now gives buyers 2 places that it will be sold.

Not bad in my opinion.  If Brownells is a retailer for this as stated above - Add a Brownells 10% off coupon and even better.

I wouldn't mind having a folder for my stainless GB

They also state Ruger.com will be the first place to get one.  Others will follow but they hint not as soon as Ruger.

Well, if Ruger is selling them, I think that bodes well for the quality of the finished product.
The only Samson product I own is their S&W Shield 9mm magwell, it’s a nice product, fits perfectly, and was pretty inexpensive compared to what a comparable Glock aluminum magwell runs.

"A-TM Folding Stock"

A-TeaM?

Folding stocks look cool, but they're generally the suck for actual shooting.  Still, at $280 I'd be a buyer (did I mention that they look cool?)  I even have a stainless 182-prefix for it.
