What is the price on those? I've been wanting one for years, but don't want to pay the heavy price.

I like it well enough, but I have a take-down. Even if they did make a take down model, I think the metal stud for the folder is in a bad spot to use it.

I noticed something very specific in this picture.
The wood is not cut as the original. In specific the hinge channel cut is ended with a semi circle and much longer. In the original it is square cut and shorter. Also the edge lines are very sharp on the original and on the copy they are rounded. No issue but for those wanting to use the new Samson WOOD ONLY as a direct replacement for their used/marked original wood and have it undetectable from the original. I am one of those persons. The newer rounded contours should be less prone to splitting/cracking.

I’m excited to get one of these new Mini 14 folding stocks. Guess I’ll just have to buy a stainless one now to go with my blued Mini-14

Anyone know if it is legal to sell an original Ruger folding stock to someone living in California? I probably should have posted this in its own thread, so I did. In case anyone is interested in the answer here is the link to that thread.

I have a strange suspicion that Samson is going to hold back selling these until Shot Show time.
Trying to grab as much attention at the show as they can get. I hope I am wrong. |

I am planning on buying a stock when available with the goal of picking up a used Mini 30 ehen I see one available... they do come up around here from time to time.

I'm having flash backs to my youth and my dad with his folding mini. Nostalgia can be a cruel bitch and she's holding a gun to my head now....I will be buying one.

not a peep anywhere on this stock for a long time.
was hoping for one in dec as mentioned by the company. that is not going to happen. now it is Q1 2020. as stated on FB. i told you they would hold back and push AFTER hype from shot show. |

Samson advises on FB that the stocks will be sold on Shopruger.com
Elsewhere? No indication. That means at full retail and significant shipping and tax. Q1 2020. |

I'm sure it'll still go through distributors like most other products that either Samson or Ruger makes, though if they ship all to Ruger, who then distributes them, it'll probably add a little $ to the total.
Though, if you want to gain a little advantage, shopruger.com currently has gift certificates on sale for 80% off. Could buy $200/$300 for $160/$240 and wait for the stock. :) |

Unless they change their mind. Ruger will charge MSRP so that puts you at maybe $240 before shipping and tax. |
|
I think they give a % off coupon with new guns also, when you register the gun, but it'd been a bit since my last new Ruger so not sure.

Quoted: You will be a FOOL WITHOUT PITY if you did not plan ahead and get three gift cards. View Quote I looked in the box for my 1022, 20% off if you register, but max $20 and only good for "Sportswear and accessories" line. Not sure if the stock would be in that category. |
|
Also GC is "limit one per order", not sure if you can use all of them for one transaction assuming you buy 3 in different transactions.

i can confirm that Brownells will also sell the stock.
so that now gives buyers 2 places that it will be sold. |
|
Bump! What is happening to the time line on these desirable stocks?
|
|
|
Samson is now stating that the stocks are $279.99 but not stating if that is expected retail or MSRP.

Well, if Ruger is selling them, I think that bodes well for the quality of the finished product.
The only Samson product I own is their S&W Shield 9mm magwell, it’s a nice product, fits perfectly, and was pretty inexpensive compared to what a comparable Glock aluminum magwell runs. |
|
I hope Ruger (or someone) does a run of side sling swivel gas blocks for them.
|
|
That top one is the exact set up I might do to go along with my blued GB

They are discussed in the current American Rifleman magazine.

Folding stocks look cool, but they're generally the suck for actual shooting. Still, at $280 I'd be a buyer (did I mention that they look cool?) I even have a stainless 182-prefix for it. |

I'd be interested in the sub $300 range and I didn't even like the A-Team.
