Looking to get a Ruger M77/44  with a wood stock and blued barrel

What thread size can I have threaded on the barrel for a suppressor for deer hunting

would like a 5/8x24 but would accept a 1/2x28 if needed

.578x28 is the most common thread for .45 cal weapons, but 5/8" = .625", so I'd lean toward 5/8x24.

Go with the biggest threads you can.  1/2-28 won't work with a .44.

I know nothing about the thread sizes, but thought I would measure it for you. Mine is blued with synthetic. I am assuming you will be having the front sight band removed. Diameter at the muzzle is .624”. Behind the sight band, at a distance of .889” from the muzzle, the measurement is .627” in diameter. I hope this helps maybe.
