Anyone have this combo? How is it working for you? Should I try to tune the factory trigger or is the Timney enough of an upgrade to invest in?

ETA: sorry did not see the American Predator aspect of your post. I have also used Timney triggers in a couple of bolt actions over the years. One in particular is on a Husqvarna in .270 Win. Again, an outstanding trigger and a definite inprovement even in a quality sporter from the 1950s. Makes for a very sweet shooting rifle.

I have a Timney in an Armalite AR 10, and one in a regular old AR 15. THEY ARE FANTASTIC, and well worth the money. But to be perfectly honest, I do not think I could tell the difference between them and my CMC triggers if I was blindfolded. Am not familiar with the Ruger 556 rifle triggers, but if they are anything like Ruger triggers in general, I would say yes to it being an improvement. Sorry I can't be more help.
