so carbine or mid is preferred?

Bad idea to go with a 1:8 in this short of a length?  Will it stabilize 77gr bullets?

some dedicated suppressed guys are running 11.5" middy's with good results. supposedly run very smooth. 1:8 should be ok for 77's
carbine is the safe/reliable route for a 11.5.

Hopefully in the coming weeks i'll have my carbine +1" gassed 11.5 up and running. hoping it will be a happy compromise. it will see both suppressed and un suppressed use. mostly suppressed.
