We need to hold another SCAR competition so that some manufacturer will bring forth a different design for all the euro nations to copy.

Any word on if we will see the classic flash hider found on the full size carbine?  Interested in any updates on the folding stock or what parts Eagle Imports will be importing.  This price from Palmetto has me very interested.

Any idea if that version of the upper will be available? Looks to be a shortened version, only has 1 mlok slot on the side.

Both Stribog & Scorpion use proprietary magazines.  Grab-A-Gun is selling the Stribog for $694.99 which is less expensive than the average selling price for the Scorpion EVO 3.  IMO it feels like you are getting more for your money with a Stribog vs. a Scorpion.

Yes you could probably build a basic AR based 9mm for less than $700 but like myself, I am sure most of the people interested in the Stribog already have an AR based PCC and a Scorpion.
Couldn't have said it better myself^
You guys are neglecting the fact that the Scorpion has  huge aftermarket support. Will the Striborg ever reach the market penetration of the Scorpion to garner the aftermarket support that Scorpion owners enjoy?

Discussion above were opinions of initial value and had nothing to do with aftermarket support therefore that fact was not neglected.  Current aftermarket support for the Scorpion did not happen overnight.  Maybe you missed this part above "I am sure most of the people interested in the Stribog already have an AR based PCC and a Scorpion."

It would seem that the CZ scorpion is the glock of the "SMG" world.  But like glock only it needs the upgrades.
I looked at the Scorp and the Stribog.  The Stribog was just way cheaper then what I can get a Scorpion for and then have to upgrade a few things to make it useable for me.
Best thing it has going for it is the non reciprocating charging handle.  But thats just my opinion.
699 for the Stribog and a complete lower from PSA was a no brainer for me.

Just an FYI for anyone wanting to use a mpx style brace, I mounted one and you have to have it mounted very high up on the receiver. IMO, you'll have to use an optic with tall mount or tall sights to make it comfortable for most users.

Picked up my Stribog the other day and really like it.  I was thinking about having a plate with a 1913 rail made for it but I saw someone post about Safety Harbor Firearms making one.  I contacted them today to try to get some info on it.  Hope they get back to me soon!
Just need Franklin Armory to make a trigger for this and maybe fix how the safety works. :)

Got my Stribog set up with an AR pistol tube and SOB brace.
Also added a Primary Arms red dot.
A budget set up for now but it works fantastic.

This pistol fits me great.
Target acquisition is fast and natural.
It actually fits me better than my Scorpion.

As for the charging handle, no injuries yet.
Mostly my left hand stays on the mag well anyway.
I wouldn't mind someone coming up with a lower profile handle though.

Overall I'm super happy with this pistol.
It's so much better than what I was expecting.
Also really surprised about the quality.
Doesn't feel cheap in any respect.

With the telescoping brace, you can see I had to clearance the body of the adapter. The receiver is too wide so you'll have to remove about 1/16" from the mount. You'll also need to clearance the rods on the inner and bottom.  The rods will rub on the angled section of the receiver.

For the rear plate, I drilled a couple holes and mounted my rail section.  The rear plate is plastic and I noticed some flexing when I mounted the brace. I used some jb weld and filled in the voids to add some rigidity.

Emailed Eagle Imports about Euro Stock and flash hider on September 3rd.  Here is their reply:

Mr. Smith,

Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately no, there are no current plans to bring in the Euro Stock or a flash hider for the Stribog at tis time.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Any ideas on an alternative source?  Tried Euro Military.com no luck.  Maybe the Canadians can help us out?

Yup, the only thing the Scorpion had going for it was the cheap magazines & no serious flaws out of the gate...which is actually saying a lot.  There weren't stock (or brace) kits for at least a year, and people were constantly complaining about the safety prodding their hand and the polymer construction.  How times change.

FWIW, the Stribog mag is basically an enlarged Colt SMG mag.  Not sure how hard/easy they are to load compared to the Colt though.  But yeah, I know they're popular and all, but Glock mags just don't look quite right in an SMG.

I just ordered one of these. When I get it, I'm going to see if I can modify a Colt SMG mag. Would be nice to have options for mags.

ETA: Then again, the price of the Stribog mags are the same as a Colt SMG mag so I guess buy and stack deep?

Stribog did well overall today. Handed the dirt and such at the club well.
Had some minor feeding issues if the mag got rocked too much, seemed to happen if the mag got monopodded on a stage that required a prone position.

Live rounds failing to chamber but out of mag. Only happened on the stage were we had a lot of prone and low barricade work. I'll get the video uploaded.
As for lube, just a light coating of Rem oil. We ran a mix of ammo. Going to run it hard this next two weeks prior to State match. I have confidence it'll do fine.

PPC 2 Gun 9 15 2018 Stribog

Hard to see the jams. The first stage has prone. I thought he shot up the downloaded mag but it was instead a jam. Mag was being monopodded. Second jam was at the window barricade, that was actually a spent case stuck in the action.
Plan is to video the action and attempt to replicate the monopod jam.
