I need a red dot for my Scorpion. Leaning MRO but I like the boxy look of the Steiner R1X & DI Optical models, but those have limited reviews.

I went MRO with an ADM QD low mount. Perfect IMHO.

I have tried several, rmr, T2, mro.

It's fugly but mro is king.

A Holosun with a low mount works well for me.  I really like having the option for a circle dot or just a 2moa dot:

My Vortex Sparc 2 has been serving me well for years.
Only reason Im considering a replacement is that RDS and astigmatism dont work well together..
I really love the reticle of my TA-44..

Holosun 515c works great for me. As mentioned earlier the circle dot centers up really quick and natural.

I just started using the Sig Romeo 5.  I really like it so far.

I'm using a Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot with the factory mount on my SBR. Works good, light and small, and you can see the sights through it.

I'm using the dual-illuminated RMR (RM05) and I love it- adds no weight, always on, no batteries, and you don't even know it's there.

Previously I had a Comp M2 mounted and it felt a bit clunky.

9.0 MOA is a large dot, but for the role I'm looking to fill with the EVO, (inside of 75m) it's a basketball-of-death.

I run an Aimpoint H1 in the low mount. Works perfect and co-witnesses with factory sites.

Another vote Vortex Sparc II

I have a Burris fast fire 3 on mine that has been performing really well so far. It provides a nice co-witness with the factory sights.

Aimpoint Micro T1.

What I really want in it is a man upgraded/fixed EOTech EXPS 3-0

I guess it depends on what your intended purpose for your Scorpion is.

If it's some hard use, HD gun. I'd go top shelf and get an Aimpoint Micro, Trijicon RMR (type 2), Trijicon MRO (not ready for prime time yet IMHO).etc.

But if it's just for fun. There are plenty of optics that are great, quality and not top-shelf price. Like a Holosun, PA, Vortex offerings.

Of course if you love something like Aimpoint. Get and Aimpoint. :D

I have a Fastfire 2.  It has been perfect for me on the scorpion.  I like the co-witness as well.

No complaints with my holosun but it sounds like you're considering a different price point. I'd think an H-1 would be a good fit

I'm using an Insight MRDS on an ADM QD mount. Light, sturdy and a dot just the right size for 0-200 yards. I love it.

FF3 here. Not my shtf gun, so I'm not spending $500+ for a RDS. To each their own though!

Romeo 5 has been working well for me.

TRS25 broke after about 3mos of use.  Would not recommend.

Using the Sig Romeo C and I like it. Been using the high mount without co-witness. Will switch to the low mount soon to see if I prefer it.

6.5moa RMR

Like it better than the tube style red dots on my EVO I use for PCC comps.

I use the solar dot holosun.  Solid optic and works awesome!  Cowitness with standard mount and sits a bit higher than an aimpoint because of the battery compartment so it is more a 1/3 cowitness with the irons
