'done', finally. SBR with Rugged Obsidian. HBI 6" rail with their K cut barrel with machined 3 lug. Extremely happy with it.

Full tailhook kits are back in stock in case anyone wants them.

As an aside, how are you guys mounting your cans to the Evo? I want to mount the omega 9k that I should get out of jail soon. Wondering if direct thread is the best way or if there is another way to mount the 9k? Thanks!

Hanson Brothers. See if I can get you a link. Yours have the 1/2-28 thread on the end of the barrel?

Yep they have the 1/2x28. And awesome, that looks like just what I need. Assuming the omega 9k can actually use the 3 lug. I hvent even checked on that like an idiot.

Another question, where are you guys finding these mags that look like windowed Pmags? Thanks!

Looks great.

Is that a different tailhook adapter? Mine looks different. I like that one better.

I just noticed that - it’s not splined like the GHW one I have.

Anyone having issues with the windowed mags? I have two and they will get through 2 or three rounds only before they basically fall out of the magwell. They won't stay locked in but the smoke mags work fine

SBR complete and Illusion 9 in jail

File or lightly sand the locking lug on the back of the mag where the mag release catches it.

Your mag release doesn't have it locked in the gun 100%, as its actuated in your photo.

You can also buy the Blackhawk branded 3-lug from Budsgunshop.com. Their MiniBoss 3-lug is an exact copy of the Silencerco 9K 3-lug. @HansohnBrothers should get first shot at your business though.

The windowed pmag looking magazines are the new CZ gen2. I have a couple - they fit/function/fire well in my gen1 scorpion.

HK parts had it, had the original metric thread pattern.

Having said that, it screwed off SLIGHTLY during rapid fire, caught the end cap on my Obsidian.  That's the main reason I went from the stock barrel to the HBI K cut with machined 3 lug barrel.  That, and short is awesome.

It’s a 3D printed adapter. I have the GHW adapter as well, but didn’t like the look of it. I would recommend an In Lead We Trust barrel. It’s threaded and also 3-lug.

@f40

I gave it multiple good slams to get it seated in there after it started falling out. It will pull free with a bit of force, so maybe it never locked in place at all

Thanks, I'll give the filing a try

i let a guy borrow mine for a few mags, and then noticed him muscle the bolt back with the safety on. now the safety allows the bolt to pull back while on half the time (kinda broke) luckily it seems as if the safety still functions okay otherwise.

anyone know which specific part got damaged?

I'm not sure this is an issue? I have a brand new unfired Scorpion right here and I was able to pull the charging handle to the rear with the safety on?

ETA: Just did a bit of reading, it appears that with the safety ON and the hammer DOWN (in fired position) you cannot pull the charging handle back. But with the safety ON and the hammer COCKED, you can in fact pull it back. Hope this helps.

yep thats the expected result. in my case it seems as if the CH can be pulled back no matter the hammers location. a little additional reading stated that the sear is what contacts the safety bar and prevents the hammer movement with the safety on. ill pull it apart this weekend and inspecct

by the way,  enjoy your CZ.

Anyone else have to bury the front sight post all the way in to get it on target at 25 yards? I was shooting 115gr independence.

I literally can’t move the post down any further. Which is lucky since that last click is what got me on center of the target at 25 yards.

Yeah, factory is zeroed for 50m, theres not enough adjustment to really get down a lot lower. Some have drilled a small dimple in the rail under the post, some have cut one or the other end of the post off.

Ahh that makes sense.

So do most people stick with the 50 yard zero? I feel like 25 makes more sense for a PCC but I’m not an expert by any means.

Just picked up my first Scorpion and I’m looking for a new rail. I like the HB Industries rail 6.84” Flat rail  but not sure what I need. It offers a shroud only or complete kit. If I just want to swap the original rail for the MLoK one, which option do I need to select?

Thanks

Complete kit.  The shroud only option is if you wanted to swap between lengths.

I have a K variant SBR. I've had it for a while and in fact HBI told me it was the first one in the wild.

I have been using the CZ factory stock and I'm thinking about a slider stock. Can anyone tell me their thoughts vs the factory stock?

Pictures of K variant Scorpions would be welcome for inspiration.

My wrist already hurts just looking at that grip angle.  Knowing that everyone hates the OEM angle and the grip is one of the first things that is typically swapped out, why carry it over when this is the chance to fix it?  Hopefully it can be replaced with aftermarket.
