I have a Marlin 38/357 with 1890S stamped on barrel

I cannot find info on a 1890S only 1894,etc,etc etc?

Am I reading the stamp on barrel wrong?

Always possible to have a misstamp or light strike.  Enjoy and don't worry about it.
