Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Honeywell security systems

Anyone have experiences with the Honeywell security systems ? Looking at the LYNX touch 5210 system. Any pros / cons, things one should know. I see and hear a lot of people going to the Simply Safe systems however I am wiring for a "hard" wired control system with behind the jam recessed wireless contacts. Is there any other systems anyone would recommend.

Look at DMP equipment. They use 2 way communication between the sensors and the panel. The Honeywell wireless sends a burst of 8 signals to the control when tripped hoping that one gets through. If it does not get through the device has to be tripped again. Are you planning on having it monitored?
