215 more lbs of gallowtech arrived on my doorstep today for my new house. Between that and the ammo pile I have serious foundation concerns on one end of my house! Install happening this weekend, 9 panels total with all the fixins.

Very excited about my new man cave, and getting some pics up here.

eta first crappy pic of everything piled until I get more gallowtech and shelving in the room.

Some updated trimwork installed. A big thanks to my dad who built the display shelf and trim to my design. The trim will get a top crown molding to top it off but this gives you an idea. The fun part was piecing it all together in the room because it was too big to build as on unit and get it through the doorway.

Is your liquor cabinet recessed between studs or how is it sitting in there?

Just in the planning stages. Do the gallow hangers fit on a standard slatwall siding? I’m still trying to decide on pegboard vs slatwall.. or other options

They are from tactical tailor, 30 cal ammo can cover, I looked on their website and they don't seem to be listed any more. They fit over 30cal cans, makes it easy to keep some spare mags, ammo, etc. and throw over shoulder with the strap.

Thanks.
The only thing that I wanted to do different were the cabinetry. I wanted to do gray, however that particular skew was back ordered so I had to go with the maple color.

Rearranged my room to add a new couch/TV for video games.  Also I always wanted a hidden door and completed the project with some help.  I love how it turned out.

Thanks!  Just something a buddy came up with.  We used a Murphy door type hinge that allows it to be flush to the wall. It actually turned out better than I had hoped.

@bradpierson26.

That cabinet is recessed as that entire wall is about a foot off the foundation wall due to some ductwork ran behind the wall. I had to utilize the wasted space somehow, so I just framed an opening big enough to drop the cabinet in place.

Wouldn’t it have been easier to put up drywall before mounting the safe and bench?

That seam under the window is kicking my OCD into overdrive

I wasn’t planning on drywalling that side. The opposite side of the room is obviously already drywalled.
If that drives you nuts, I’ll refrain from giving you the full tour lol
The bench is kinda just test fit in there before I have to tape and mud

You did one less panel wide than what I did, but you have everything arranged almost identical to what I did between the horizontal, vertical and pistol hangers. A tip if you’re interested, I have about a dozen AR’s with horizontal hangers and changed over to the magwell mount vertical hangers and it probably tripled the available space. Just a thought if you’re wanting to put more rifles in that location in the future. Very nice setup!

Finally got the sheetrock up and have started installing the rest of the goodies.

For scale: 13x15ish room Slatwall is 4X8 sheets. Bench is 6’ long. Cabinets are 8’. I can’t bring myself to get rid of those shitty harbor freight cabinets. They work really well and are cheap as hell.

They $50~ with the coupon. Don’t expect something other than harbor freight. They are thin. But they are fine for loading up with all kinds ofbullets and powder no problem.

The rooms all concrete but i framed the room so I’d have backing to hang and drywall for comfort.

Cool.  I'm digging it, man.
Not too flashy or tacticool; looks functional and realistic like I'd want.
My room isn't going to be a walk-in safe, but I'd like some security to keep kids out.

Here locally it’s $220 with aluminum slats or $100 without. You can find it a lot cheaper online but with freight charges it doesn’t  even out until about 4 sheets.

The only way that could be improved would be to put it under ground and harden it from a nuclear blast.

My father is building all the woodwork for me. Currently planning out the last wall cabinet. He’s been building nice furniture longer than I’ve been alive. He’s really making the room pop!

Here’s an updated picture of my bourbon shelf. Glad to finally have the complete set of Pappy and Buffalo Trace Antique Collection.
