Initial setup.  Probably will only hold tools since it’s above my work bench.

Do you have any trouble removing the SBR or shotgun because of lack of clearance above them? Or can you just rotate the grip of the top one outward while you lift the lower one out of the hook?

I can tilt them out, but it’s still a little tight.  I just set it up to see if I liked it.  I would change it around if I was going to keep those three guns up there.  The shelf on the far left was going to be used so I could easily “rack” rifles vetically, but I need a muzzle end solution to keep them in place, so it’s a work in progress.

Is that "Wall Control" brand pegboard?  Do you have the measurements of the U shaped hooks you're using? I wonder if they would fit any other tracks like these at HD

It is wall control brand.  The slots are much narrower than what you linked to.   The length of the hole might be the same but if the hook is loose it will lift out of the hole every time you take a gun down...that’s just my opinion.

This is one of the short walls I dedicated to the reloading junk. The other short wall is all Gallowtech panels (same as above the bench) with most of the guns. The 2 long walls are mostly unused at the moment. I need to hang up the TV and security camera monitor and I've got a love seat on the other wall next to the door. I plan on ordering some more Gallowtech stuff to make a spot for everything that doesnt currently have one. The ceiling is concrete, but some 2x2 furring strip and 870 tapcons later I had a place to secure drywall.

Thanks!

It's that moisture resistant laminate stuff. No moisture barrier needed (closed cell rubber based material), lays right on to the concrete, tongue and groove. Easy to put down and was dirt cheap. Holding up very well so Im glad I went with it.

Do you have a brand name for that flooring?  I'm waffling on what do to with mine... I bought some new age garage mats to get by... I think they're going back in the garage.

That's the stuff. Same square footage I've got on my larger wall. You're organizing yours the smart way. I have a lot of my rifles spread out horizontally and it ate up too much space, so I want with similar vertical hangers and was able to get a lot more on there. Looks badass!

Not related to my Vault room build since I’m waiting for sheetrock to finish up before i do anything else.

But i did get my surround lights wired to a homerun switch in the master bedroom. The ideas you guys come up with are awesome.

I have a 21' x 3.5' concrete box with electricity below my front porch. Currently it serves as the pantry, storm shelter, and ammo storage area. I want to install a security door on it next year, just started looking at my options and wondered into this thread. Lots of great info. Any security door recommendations? I have a 35" rough opening for the door but I can widen the space if necessary.

Contact smith security safes, give them exact dimensions and concrete thickness and ask for a price.  They will make the door the size of your opening.

I posted a page or two back asking about lights but didn’t get any ideas. Any suggestions?

15x16 room. I haven’t sheetrocked yet so i have space to play around.

I have a couple dillons to mount at one side. Some metal cabinets etc.

I just want to make sure i have good light and don’t want stuff to hang down too far.

Most of the house has can lights so that's what I was thinking also. I might do the puck can lights though because the ceiling is 8' 10" and I don't want dark spots or shadows and Im wondering if Ill get that with recessed cans.  Thanks for the suggestions!

I like them. They are very study and solid. They did take some time to assemble though. And I had to bring them to the upstairs bonus room piece by piece and assemble them there. No way I would have gotten them up the stairs assembled.

I just wish the smaller rolling cabinets that fit under the open bottom workbenches didn't cost so much.

I'm moving in a couple weeks to a house with a proper basement. One half is finished with closets/carpet the other half is bare concrete that leads into the laundry room.

I'm going to push hard to set up the finished side with my stuff. My wife wants it as a 3rd bedroom for guests. I don't want guests and work third shift so might need it as a quiet place to sleep during the day.

I'll post updates.

We just moved. This is kind of a work in progress. Most of my guns are still just leaning in a corner of a closet.

The half I'm standing in taking the pic is going to be a workout area.
