I used to reload .45 way back in the day when I started reloading over 25 years ago.
Seem to remember using Bullseye and 200-230gr lead bullets.
.45acp has been off my radar for many years now though.
I just scored a killer deal on a Glock 41 that I couldn't pass up.
So now, starting fresh again, I want to reload for this guy and hoping people can guide me through some potential bullet choices for a factory glock barrel.
Maybe help save me the trouble of buying hundreds if not thousands of bullets that won't shoot well. I've been down that road.
Mostly looking for decent accuracy and light loads are OK, but not opposed to mid and heavy loads. I'm not looking for exact data here, mostly help with bullet choices and possibly powder compliments.
I have TONS of 45 brass, and have already sorted it by small/large primer years ago. Probably a 5gal bucket worth.
I have primers and lots of powder choices, but may be lacking some of the good ole standbys I see people mention.
Powders on hand:
Titegroup
Bullseye
BE86
WSF
Longshot
HS-6
Power Pistol
My club has lots of powder in stock, so don't hold back mentioning powder not in my list.
I'm open to any suggestions you have tried in a glock factory barrel, even if it is hard cast.
Hi-Tek coated, plated, FMJ etc.
Looking mostly for accuracy and saving $ if possible, but not afraid to purchase higher end components if it yields good results.
