I know many of you are probably opportunist like me. My local Wal-Mart stocks about 8 different powders but typically never has more than about 4 of those in stock.

Tonight I hit it right and got a Rl-15 and IMR-4064 (the last IMR-4064).

Now to the point: It seems the powder they most often have (probably least popular) is H-380.

I can easily look in many different data sources and find some data but that won't tell me the complete story.

So if you have some specific uses for H-380 that are working good please reply.

I don't necessarily need specific loads. Caliber and bullet weight would be close enough. If it's for some of our favorite calibers that's even better.

BTW: Wal-Mart finally raised their prices. RL-15 is 27.67 and the IMR-4064 was 26.87 I'm pretty sure the H-380 is about the same price.

The 220 Swift loves it too!

To slow for 308 for me in 308, might work in 30-06

You guys are great!!! This really helps in narrowing down good possible uses.

I have used it in 22-250 and my brother has a 338-06, which is an awesome caliber btw

The 22 Swift feedback has me thinking of looking at 22-6mm data too. I have a 22-6mm AI.

Thanks,  keep em coming.

When Hodgdon discontinued H450, they should have gotten rid of H380 also.  IMO.   Primer fired, H450 started burning, then just quit. More than  just one round.   Using a CCI mag primer too. In 22-250.

I think there are better, modern powder  available today.
