Loaded the last 50 virgin 300prc brass to fire form into Sherman neck angles.
Gotta get the brass to the same number of shots and get my rounds ready for some Mule deer. |
|

|
Broke down the 1050 cleaned and lubed .
Set up to run some .45 and decided it was to hot. |
|
|
Finally had a chance to do sone reloading.
Tossed in a load of range pickup 5.56 brass to fumble. Then loaded up 25 55 gr SGKs over H335. |
|
|
Took a few shots with my latest loads for the 300 wm,
Hammer Hunter 166gr being pushed with 77.72 gr of N560 (3208 fps). At 707 yds, my elevations were right on. My ability to estimate the wind? Um, let's not talk about that. |

Sorted a bit of brass, thanks to the 3 hours of rain. 75* this time of the year from 5-8pm is mighty unusual.

|
|
|
Loaded up 50rds of 7mm-08 with 120gr NBTs and a near max load of Varget for the upcoming deer season. Finally got a chance to do some shooting yesterday to figure out a load and OAL for this gun.
Decapped and ran about 600 300blk thru the FART and then sorted by headstamp. This will be my first venture into loading 300 blackout while waiting for the can to get out of jail. |

Got my cherry popped while breaking down a few .45s.
The primer didn’t set properly so when I used the hammer I had a few pop off. Scared the shit out of me. I’ll use the bullet puller from now on. |

|
Tumbled some more range pickup rifle brass. Mostly 5.56 but a smattering of other stuff.

Silly me!
I kinda did some more dumpster diving this morning at the Shooting Complex. I got 9 more boxes, smalls, of once fired 12 gauge hulls. Six of the boxes fit in the trunk: Attached File |

I shot 3 rounds of trap.
So I turned 25 factory 20ga shells into once fireds. I also turned 50 Federal Top Gun factory shells into once fireds. Not that those hulls are worth anything, but I saved them anyway. |

I have been slacking for a while. I was really bored yesterday, so I cranked off a couple hundred .45ACP. Press is always set up, so all I need to do is pull the handle and add components.

Ran 50 cases of .223 through a die with 10 ton press as first step in forming 25-20 SS brass |

Shot another 2 rounds of trap today.
So some more factory 12 gauge AAHS’s and factory 20 gauge AAHS’s got turned into once fireds. I did get to try my Mojo stick for the first time on grass today. On the AAHS’s where the only steel is the primer, the Mojo stick did just so so. |

Planning to hit the loading shed and start sorting/decapping/pin tumbling since I met up with the grandson at a party last night and his mama told me he will never ask me to take him shooting cause he doesn't want to wear out his welcome so I figure it's time to get crackalackin!

Trimmed enough brass this weekend to keep me busy reloading for a while.
Saturday was 8mm Mauser and .30-06 while today I worked on .303 British and 7.62x54r. Yes, I shoot a lot of military surplus rifles. |

Shot some 6.5cm loads. 130 grain ELDM and h4350
41.0 was good. 41.5 decent. 42.0 was the best. 42.5 sucked. 43.0 decent. 43.5 would have been best save for the last round. I think I’ll just load up a bunch at 42.0 grains and call it good. Just punching paper at 300 or less, the extra FPS the 43.5 gives me is meaningless at that range. |

Last night I resized and wet-tumbled several hundred pieces of 9mm brass to put away for a rainy day and I will continue this evening.
Was out in the backyard this evening using an RCBS media separator to separate the .22's from approximately 6 gallons of mixed range brass. After the 22's got culled (an easy task) then separated the AR brass from the pistol brass as I'm looking for LC, Win NATO and IMI headstamps. The usual percentage is about 40-50% of the total. I now have exactly 2 gallons of this brass to dry tumble in order to better see the headstamps. ETA just finished sorting through a gallon and got a bit over a quart (197 pieces) with LC headstamps and seven IMI's. That's not a great percentage. The remaining pistol brass was all 9's and 40's. A cursory look-through didn't turn up anything else. The humidity outside while separating this stuff was enough to drop you. I also picked up a bottle of Lemishine at the supermarket and changed out the walnut media in the dry tumbler. |
