Cough!

All the stars lined up and I was finally able to chrony my 125SMK supers and 190SMK subs (.300AAC) and they were right where I wanted them.  The 125 were practically in the same hole at 50Y.  I could only trigger the Labradar with the subs with the can removed, which prompted me to order that inertia trigger switch mentioned in a thread here.

My latest 62gr 5.56 loads really didn't lose many fps over the 55gr with the same powder charge, which surprised me.

Ordered 8lbs of 4350 on a tip and desperately looking for H1000. In between loading and laddering some 6.5 I ordered 2 new Whidden Gunworks die sets and parts for my current sets.
Finished up with the .45 run and going to set up for 10mm on a Dillon and prep some 45-70 brass.

Wet-tumbling 223/556 brass in a loaner Thumlers.

Put in the first batch and fell asleep so the tumbler ran for about 9 hours. Needless to say the brass is gleaming.

337 pieces of deprimed brass (approximately 4.5 lbs)
3 quarts cold water
1 heaping tsp Lemishine
A 2-second quirt of Dawn

Only about 6-7 more batches to go

Have given up finding SPP for less than I can stand in line and buy loaded 9mm ammo for (450rds this a.m. for 21cpr) so switched the 550b back over to 45acp.

Ordered 2# of BL-C2 for pickup from a local store.

Cheaper than grafs before shipping/hazmat and would be cheaper than PV after S&H.

Loaded up 20 rounds of .22 hornet in 3 different flavors to see how they shoot thanks to a fellow arf commer hooking me up with primers.

Also prepped 50 brass for the load that looks the best.

Also bought 200 .17 Remington cases for my project rifle I’m amassing parts for from the EE.

Shot reloads today. They went bang. Found out a minimum load of 231 and a 147 gr 9mm bullet make a pretty soft shooting combo.

wet tumbled first load of .357, came out dark  Probably too much citric acid, need to be more precise on my measurements.
Otherwise clean inside and out including primer pockets, just dark, no bling

It’s been a whole month since I have had a chance to do anything related to loading.  It’s been crazy busy at work, and even worse because of the holidays. I got more overtime in the last two weeks than I have in any paycheck in years...  And had nothing left after I got home, even on weekends.

That’s a lot of whining, right?  But after all of that, I’ve finally gotten a chance to get back into my loading room.  Today I have been able to sort out where I left the loading bench and start figuring out where I go next.  It looks like my next step is to reset everything and get back to loading some more .380 Auto.

I managed to score 2k primers at our local Sportsmans warehouse. Limit is 1k/customer but I was able to lock down a second portion and get my wife to scurry over and purchase them. Also helped a guy determine which primers he actually wanted/needed.

In the last few days, I've loaded about 2k of 12 gauge target ammo.

I suuuure to like the SL900 better than my old MEC 600.   Nothing wrong with the MEC.  It did a great job, but boy is it slow.  6 pulls of the handle for each loaded round vs. 1 pull, and I don't have to feed cases each time.

(Edit:  I chrono'd a few of 'em too.  They're just short of 1250, which is right where I want 'em)

Just received my shockbottle case gauge in 9mm. Another one of those excellent tools that when you try it the first time, i just wondered why I wait so long for this?

Gaging ammo and dumping into dillon boxes is seamless.

So far, I have resized and deprimed all the empty 7.62x39 I have.

Then, off to the tumbler they went. I think I will get them trimmed and loaded today if I put my mind to it.

Wet tumbled second batch of .357, this time got the bling back, first batch of .357 ended up with dark cases.

Started decapping 44 mag to be the caliber I wet tumbled.  So far found a couple 357 cases, 2 38's, some 9's and .380.  The 380 and 9's were inside the 44 mag case and wouldn't come out by gravity, so had to use my newish Hornady kinetic bullet puller to get the cases out of the 44 mag cases.

Inside the 3 gallon tub of 44 mag brass I found a bag of 500 factory new IMI 44 Mag brass, forgot all about it  It was under all the used brass.  Truly a buried treasure.

Definitely some old brass, 42 stamped.

Boy, 1050 is a hoot to load on. Was having some issues with Primers dropping out of my shuttle and ending up with powder everywhere when indexing the shell plate. Gave it a good cleaning after a partial tear down. Loaded up another 1300 without issue this afternoon. Attachment Attached File

Found 1000 62 grain penetrators cleaning today.

I have 335 and 748 with Winchester primed cases. What would you work up for best accuracy in an 16" BCM? Remember this is not a question or comment thread. It's for posting what you did today in reloading. Start a thread and ask your question. dryflash3

So far today I've searched the internet looking for small rifle or pistol primers (like every other day) and pulled 40 35 rem reloads apart. A guy offered them up for free on my local hunting forum. Now I need to work up a load for my 336.

Went and emptied out a couple dozen random 308 hand loads that I didn't feel like pulling. I should really write things down... I never intend to leave a project alone for long enough to have no idea what the heck I did.

Making noise is more fun anyway.
