Good weekend, Went to the ISP outdoor range and got to shoot a Ford Taurus Wagon and then picked up the brass left on the range. A ton of .223, .45, handful of 10mm (which by my standards am always short) and a few 9mm. Also found 15 unfired .45 rounds, seems someone was not counting correctly prior to clearing. Always a process to sort, clean and cull the creased brass along with sending some of the .223 to the .300 BO chop bucket.

Should finish up the swaging tonight and get on to the trimming and sizing tomorrow.

Found some primed brass and 70 ammo boxes on the EE somewhat local to me and will pick up tomorrow. Also purchased a few Sierra 220gr MatchKing bullets and once fired BO brass on the EE.

My son and I wrapped up 50 rounds of already prepped 223 tonight.

26 grains of Win 748, 55 grain Hornady FMJs and Lee factory crimp to top them off.

Got the next batch of brass from last week's shooting tossed in the tumbler. Tomorrow we'll get it pulled out and start processing.

I tried my hand at pan lubing some bullets I casted for my 45-70. It did not turn out as I had hoped

I believe the Blue Angel Lube that I was using was too hard. I'm going to try my hand at some softer stuff today

Shot my test rounds and picked up another gallon of brass.  Going to use up the last few hundred RMR 115gn I have on hand, down to a few thousand 147gn left to make.

Brother came over and I shown him how to load 50 rounds of 308 for his new Savage rifle he had picked up. I had a partial box of 180 grain soft points laying around, figured why not use them up. We picked a 38.5 grain charge of IMR-3031 to start with and he used the RCBS Chargmaster to portion out his powder charges. Sized brass and seated bullets on the Bonanza Co-Ax press and trimmed the brass on the L.E. Wilson trimmer.

Nice, if you don't mind me asking, how long ago did you place the order. I've been waiting on my case feeder since 7/26. Maybe they finally got them back in stock.

@AWZ1287  Use IM's to ask questions. This thread is not for questions. dryflash3

Yesterday I finally put my bench together. Still have to mount it up to the wall, to steady it up. Going to home depot this week to get stuff to attach it to the wall.

Hopefully next weekend I will have the xl750 mounted.

Seems like I have been dragging out the setup. Lost some enthusiasm, with not being able to find any primers. Won't be able to load anything when I set it up.

I got an extremely sweet deal on a brand new Ponsness Warren 375 12 gauge single stage press. Been wanting one and it seems there is no better time to start reloading shot shell.

Most beautiful female ups driver I've ever seen brought my 750XL this morning.  Almost a fantasy come true just happened to end when she drove off.  Decided to wait until I got some sleep to try and set it up.  Come to find out I bought the wrong length bolts the other so it'll be the morning when I get to properly set it up since the hardware store is closed.  Did order my case feeder today,so all that is left for this setup is a primer filler, Dillon case trimmer and a couple tool heads and conversion kits.

Lee App with Swage Kit came today - set it up, tinkered, adjusted, ran some brass through it.  Hopefully swage some 223 this weekend.  Bought it for a 'hopefully' cleaner decapping setup, and swaging.

I bought one of the Walmart clearance Savage Axis' in 308.  I have never owned a 308 so reloading for it was a new adventure.  I have been using some 130 grain soft points from Speer along with some AA2520.  There is a lot more recoil with the 308 than I anticipated.  I'm thinking I need to bed the stock to squeeze out a little more accuracy.  I have some 150 grain soft points on order and I will get to start all over again working up a new load.

Fired up the table saw and made a couple shims so I could bolt my new press until I can get shorter bolts.  Got the new 750 all set up and pretty much dialed in for 9mm.  Made a handful to test out in the morning to make sure there isn't any  small adjustments to be made before cranking out large batches.

Ordered 1K 124gr 9mm bullets from xtreme, they stated in stock.  Not as cheap as Blue Bullets but my order from early August won't ship until October.

I won't order from Blue Bullets until after the scare settles out.

Got 1k SPP along with what I already have I will have ammo to shoot up as soon as my bullets come in.

Weighed out some gifted .30-30 reloads.  The more I consider things, I think I will just pull the bullets, burn the powder, and then re-stuff them with known powder.

I found 150 and 170 gr bullets in the mix, so far all IMR-4064 sampled by the very lightest loaded case weights to the heaviest all have between 26 and 28 grains of powder.

I grouped all of the rounds that weighted almost exactly what a factory round weighs, in one lot, about 70% of them.  I will pull the light and heavies and make a decision at that point.

I also deprimed and sized a bunch of .44Mag brass.

Scoured through the reloading section of a local pawn shop. Found 96 rounds of brass cased 32 auto.

Havent decided if I should shoot them or pull them all apart... leaning towards pulling them all down and salvaging the components.

Scored:

5k CCI 450s from Midway (shipped)
7k CCI 500s from BassPro (Processing, hope they actually ship)

I have been on the hunt for primers for a few months, just wanted everyone to know it’s possible just have to keep on searching day in day out.

I even got desperate and order 12k “improperly stored” Fiocchi SRPs for 2 cents a piece a few weeks ago and will save them for desperate times. I did load a few and they all went bang and hit the paper :)

Reamed primer pockets 1k LC and converted it to 300 blackout.

My 1050's casefeed adapter housing plate had grown brittle with age and broken upon removal so I modeled and printed a new one. If anyone needs a copy of the stl let me know. It isnt exactly a wear part so replacements aren't common and dillon charges an arm and a leg for them for what amounts to a simple hunk of plastic.

Today my wife and I got out of town.  We went into the Hill Country to hike and just get away for her birthday.

Along the way I spotted two or three gun shops that I researched - do they have reloading supplies?  Turns out nope.  And none of the other shops Google found that are even in the general vicinity even mentioned supplies.  Drat.

In the last couple of weeks, I’ve put in a lot more hours at work, so I’ve had a small overtime windfall.  So, not to take anything away from my wife’s birthday at all, we talked about what I wanted to spend the overtime cash on.  At the moment I’m on the fence; an XL750 conversion for .45 ACP, for .40 S&W, or something else?  I have plenty of calibers I want to set the 750 up to load, but which one(s) first?  There are too many choices right now.  (Yeah, first world problems and all that...  )

Decided to load up a ladder of 110gr Black Tips for the 300 BLK.  Hope is to gain back some lost velocity from having an SBR vs. Barnes factory ammo. Gathered velocity data a few weeks ago with the factory load to get a baseline.

Opened up some crimped primer pockets on 223 while at work tonight.  Probably close to 200 since it was 2 of the zip lock bags from 6 years ago.  Got the tracking number for my case feeder so now all I'm lacking on my 750 9mm setup is a bullet feeder, powder check, and a dillon rf100 primer filler.

Stole a Hornady L-n-L AP setup from Amazon, yesterday. Came today. Son-in-Law and I have been debating what press to get - red, green, blue - when he checked the 'zon yesterday morning, and the L-n-L was $300 off! He clicked add to cart before I had a chance to tell him to go for it.

~20 years ago, Pop and I reloaded shot shells for pheasant hunting every weekend, but I've never reloaded rifle (or pistol, that's in the plans, too).
