This week i've deprimed 2k pieces of brass that we picked up at the range last weekend they were all wet and i didn't want to leave the primers in them.

Tonight will either be 9mm or 223 actual ammo produced.

Got tired of the bushing for my powder measure on my lnl press always working loose. Dug through my old rings and figured out a cat 3d-2824 is just a little fatter and harder than the original. Very snug now. It's a for a regular stor boss fitting, I want to say -12 or -16.

I just ordered 1k Nosler 77's off the EE, simply couldn't pass on the price.  Also ordered some Nosler 7mm-08 brass from another site, and currently debating on a set of Redding competition shell holder set or a PMA micro die adjuster.

Was helping a buddy set up for the fun show and a guy down the isle from us had 4 sealed 100 count boxes of 180 grain Hornaday XTP 44 Cal bullets and a brand new set if Redding Titanium carbide 44 Magnum dies with single stage shell plate for a price I could definitely not say no to. Now, I can start working up some loads for the 14" Contender.

Did some QC on several hundred 38s I loaded up a few days ago.

Will start looking at loads for 158gr now that the 125gr supply is exhausted.

Suppose I should also start looking for more 125s to replenish the stock.

Oh, also tumbled a few hundred 38 cases after banging some steel last week.

Starting to get a bit more serious about digging into .30-40 Krag loads, took the rifle and Labradar to the range to get data on factory loads but the rifle side of the club was closed due to standing water.  I have the dies and a trimmer, it'll be my first foray into bottleneck loading.

I finished my 9mm sizing, 500 more for a total of 700 cases.  I am going to tumble them in corn cob to get the lube off (yes, I lube pistol cases, even though I size with carbide dies) over the next several days.

I found out that my Lock n Load AP's case feeder doesn't like to handle much more than 200 9mm cases at once - it bogs down.  I probably need to just tighten the clutch on the shell plate to address that.

I'm also ordering some spare case retainer springs.  I had one sort of fall apart during my project today.  To finish, I installed my last spare.  These guys aren't "bullet proof," but they're inexpensive and they'll last quite a while under normal use.

Tumbled another batch of 9mm,
Picked up 2k primers from my local dealer,
Made 400 rounds of 9mm.

And I’m on call so technically I got paid to reload.

Sorted, tumbled and annealed about 150 pieces of 45 ACP brass. Then, I used my lee sizer to size them all down to .459".

While they were tumbling clean, I cast up a bunch of 9mm bullets to melt into the 45 acp cases.

Hope to get some 350 grain projectiles when I am done for my 458 Socom. They worked well last time.

After soaking in oil for a couple weeks, Used a brass hammer and punch and beat apart the seized bullet swage dies that I got at the last estate auction I went to. Got them all apart and now to clean up the bores to get them working.

Got a Hornady bullet puller, had the top stem seized as well. Got it apart and will need to clean it up as well.

Got a pile of Dewey cleaning rods at that sale as well. Cleaned them all up.

Finally, I have a rifle range close to me.
So over that last few weeks I have revived that portion of my reloading bench. Cleaning the dies, the single stage press, the manual powder drop, etc. I had forgotten, and of course kept no notes, the status of all my .308, 300 BO, and .223 brass. Therefore, just starting from scratch seemed the best method.

Cleaned, deprimed, resized, trimmed a couple of hundred 300 BO. Worked up some loads (new gun). Got the charge all squared away. Popped in some hunting bullets in some new brass and killed a couple of hogs.

Nothing too serious with the .223; quick brass clean, resize, check in the gauge, and put in some plinker charge and bullets. Shot up a bunch of these killing paper and steel with the Aimpoint. BTW, the Aimpoint is amazing accurate way out to 100 yards. The dot covers the target, but just keep it sort of centered and it works out well.

Ah, the .308. My favorite. The 300 BO and .223 see some stages on the Dillon, but not the .308. Every stage is done by hand on the single stage rock chucker. Because I utilize the excellent RCBS X-Die, each piece (some PMJ Nato, LC, and miscellaneous plinker brass) is cleaned, deprimed, resized and trimmed back the recommended 0.02" from the length spec. Some of my brass was already prepped but remember the no notes comment above.

So, currently, right in the middle of prepping all of my .308 brass and thinking about all of the loads I am going to try...

Today was a milestone. Ever since I considered adding necked cases to my capabilities a year or two ago, I finally made my first dummy round of 300 BO with a .223 headstamp.  Put it in a mag and it chambered/ejected perfectly. Was from a piece of once shot Lake City brass and the Lee die re-squooshed it enough to work in my rifle's chamber.

What amazed me was how little effort it took as compared to a standard resizing of stock 300 BO brass.  Thought it was going to be murder on my little single stage press, but it was almost effortless.
