Loaded up 70 rounds of 6.5 creedmoor for a long range shooting class I'm taking this weekend. 130gr Berger AR Hybrids I used my Saturn 6.5 powder funnel for the first time, it's a lot nicer than the old plastic one I've been using. Highly recommend.

I take it you bought ALL of it.

Today I scrounged one whole wheel weight while on my run after work.  And I received a number of really neat bullet casting items, which I haven’t yet had a chance to mess with.  It was a good day.

More 129 SSTs and ABLRs showed up today, along with a box of sexy ass 130 RDFs to try out, and promptly loaded up a few OBT ladders with the RDFs and a few powders

I honestly believe that M1 Carbine brass disappears like socks in a dryer.

FINALLY got my Lee Pro Auto Disk powder measure and got it set up and tweaked it a little bit. Used it to load some 9mm test loads (new bullet). Provided it only leaks a few granules here and there like so far, this thing is going to SERIOUSLY save me some time and movement.

First time I have pulled the arm on my MEC shotshell loader in ten years.  Punched out 200.  I think I have enough hulls for 200 more.  It has been sitting so long that I figured I better load what I have and sell the press.  This would be to finance another Dillon 650.  Shotshells are so cheap at Wal Mart that it doesn't make too much sense for the casual trap shooter to reload them.  (I used to shoot trap twice a week)  These are 1 ounce 7.5 shot with Cheddite primers, Blackhawk AA wads, and 21 grains of WST.  They break the clays just fine.  Every thing is dusty and that is after I cleaned it up a bit.

Got components together for tomorrow.

Same for me, knocked out 50 6.5 CM. 5 different lengths. Same powder. No shoot coming up though...

Before that, I loaded up about 70 22TCM with my 37g red PCC bullets. Experimented with a crimp on them.

Finally shot the 6.5CM with some factory ammo so I could get some readings with the headspace gauge. Next step is to load up the Lapua brass with some 140 ELD's and H4350 after I check the seating depth on the gun.

Does picking up brass count? Had the .22LR out today but noticed some AR-15 owner didn't feel like picking up their brass so I scored a pile of good .223 brass for the cost of bending over.

I love people too lazy to pick up their own brass. I have .223 and 30-06 to last me for years.

I'm gonna count it. Went to the range and did some creedmoor testing. While there, I snagged about 25 or 30 38spc brass and about 1lb of range scrap lead.

Picked up 2 boxes of 125 XTP/FP for $21 at the LGS.

Tumbled some brass, moved some loaded ammo around for more efficient storage, sorted some brass, and made some more brass at the range.

Slowly getting my kids (3 and 5) involved and helping, right now they find great joy in hiding brass in the media in the tumbler and are getting good at putting loaded rounds in plastic boxes for QC

Loaded up a few 38 spc.

Resized 50 6.5 CM. They are tumbling now.

Started making a custom seating stem for my 140g RDF bullets as my OAL and my Ogive to base measurements are not as consistent as I want them to be. +-.005 is not ok. The RDF has a very long ogive...

Even with the issue I found with the seating stem, I found that 2.900" OAL worked best for my CM. That is only about .005" off the lands.

Went to the range with my son and grandsons to make some prvi brass that I’ll be using for some match loads.

Fifteen minutes after I arrived, Sheriff’s SUV leaves, couple minutes later, another one, then another one ... and so on.

Told my son to watch his kids shoot, I’m going to check something out.

I hit the freaking brass mother lode!

Got about 120 FGMM 308 brass, about a thousand UMC 223 and 80 300 blk.

All new brass and the same type.

I’m gonna dedicate this batch to my next purchase of 6000 Hornady 55 gr. Soft point bulk to be used as plinking ammo.

I’m stiff and sore just picking up that haul.

New house, so starting to get things queued up for a new bench.  New house has a workshop with an existing bench, so that's a plus.  Still, I plan to use the same space for woodworking, some knife making, etc. that can make a mess.  Trying to keep that all from making too much of a mess.

Ordered one of the new Lee Auto Breech Lock Pro presses and received it yesterday.  Figured if it works well enough, they are cheap enough to set up one for each of a couple of regular calibers.

Ordered a Flush Mount bench plate from Inline Fabrication and a few extra plates to swap out between presses, Super Swage, a bench vise, etc.  Hoping to keep this bench space modular and flexible.  Pic of the shop before I got started.  (They left me the table saw and bandsaw too!)

Hit the local gun show this morning in the hopes of either picking up some reloading goodies or a rifle I could reload for. After dawdling on a nice and priced-to-move Westinghouse Mosin Nagant M91 and losing it to someone quicker on the draw I ended up buying some .303 British brass for a decent price. Not a good show for reloading unless you like paying higher than retail prices for powder.

Outside of that, processed some .223 brass and then cleaned some 6.5 Jap brass. I keep meaning to reload some 11mm Mauser but the lazy has gotten a strong hold on me these days.

I haven't been able to do much for a couple of weeks; I had some weird skin problem that is only now (after a week of treatment) "going away."  It made doing most things more complex than eating or writing (slowly) pretty unpleasant.  Since I work with my hands on people, that was a big problem. But now that it's substantially better, I got to messing around.

I inspected the 50 pounds of wheel weights I bought off eBay.  It was delivered in a USPS tote - the corrugated plastic bin things that the PO uses to organize stuff.  When I opened it, I found out why: the weights HAD BEEN packed in a medium flat rate box, but the box sort of disintegrated and the post office folks collected up the wheel weights and dumped them - and the remnants of the box - in the tote and covered it with more corrugated plastic.  It looks like it's all there, but I have not yet weighed it to be sure.

I bought a melting pot with some cool accessories (including a PID!), and some great dies from a fellow member, but I haven't had a chance to do anything with them yet except to read up on the pot and how the PID works.  I hope to get a chance to put the pot and the wheel weights together soon, so I can move on to casting bullets.

I also cleaned up after a couple of projects I'd done a while back, like making up test loads for .32 Auto and setting up to run through a bunch of 9mm loads.  The test loads are labeled and put up, and the components for the 9mm project are all neatly arranged, and now are out of the way.

Resized 75 .308 win cases.  Experienced my first instance of a stuck expander, which on the Lee dies pulled free of the main die body.  Fixing this and resetting the die to working order was a learning experience.

Trimmed about 30 of the cases, then deburred and chamfered.  Manual trim, deburr and chamfer is no fun after a while.

Picked up 1000 pieces of 45 Colt brass at the fun show this last weekend, almost 2/3 of it was brand new nickel R-P headstamp. 500 pieces of 10mm brass with little over half of it being new ELD (PMC) headstamp. 1000 pieces of 357 brass. 3k various cast bullets.. Only spent about $140 for all of it.. Not a bad haul..

Just received several hundred 62gr .224 SP cannelured Factory Seconds from Midway.

Measured 10 and all were consistent with no noticable blems. All looked nice and shiny.

Got these for my stash as I’ve got plenty mags loaded and a few boxes of .223  still waiting to be shot... one day soon.

Loaded 1000 rds of 55g 5.56 on the 650. Had the brass already prepped. Just kept chunking away till I had 1000 finished. Just a hair over 3.5 hrs.

Probably ordering a 6.8 conversion kit from Dillon in a day or so. 3 of us at work have a bunch of 6.8 to load and I'm tired of single staging it.
