Well guys, here it is.

Today we received the final ever shipment of GSG-522 rifles.  They are all pre-sold to our distributors and will hit the streets over the next few weeks.



In total, from October 22, 2007 to February 24, 2016 American Tactical imported a total of 177,142 GSG-5 & GSG-522 Guns.  Not too shabby.

While at a trade show in Germany in 2005, the owner of our company met GSG for the first time who showed him this .22 that they wanted to sell in the US.  Not a licensed importer at the time, our owner came back and started a whole new company called American Tactical Imports.

We've had our ups and downs with the gun over the years.  Things that need not be recounted, the crashing of the 22 market because ammo vanished.  Its been a roller coaster.

We salute you GSG-522, thanks for the great ride!

Just a reminder though, we will still be servicing the GSG-5/522 guns with no limitation.  Repair parts are still available and being made and imported, so no worries.  Magazines are also still being imported.

Also, just a little sneak peak....As you may or may not know, we discontinued the standard "heavy weight" receiver GSG-522s back in late 2013 to focus on the light weight receiver ones.  Well, when we were getting all the numbers together on how many more GSG could build, they noted that they still had metal receiver sets.  Because we wanted to squeeze out every last GSG-522 we could get our hands on, we said build them....but lets make them special.  So, the a very limited quantity with the final serial numbers are special standard weights.  We will be releasing these last to our distributors.  Minus 1, because the very final serial number belongs to this guy

Why are these going away?  (apologies if I should know already).

Well, the deal with the Legendary's is pretty much that GSG could make 372 metal receiver versions because they had that many receiver sets left after all poly receivers were built.  So, we figured we'd give the 522 its last hurrah with those guns with a little special engraving to honor the gun that got both GSG and American Tactical to where we are today respectively.  So, we waited until all 522s were accounted for and then offered out the final 371 guns to our distributors.  The ended up being split between Bill Hick's & Co and Davidson's.  So if you're a gun store who buys from either of those distributors, that's who got them.  I don't know if they have any left but that's where we sent them.

And after 8 years of working for this company, today I bought my first ever firearm.
