I'll play...

This is a custom made Special Forces knife by the top knifemaker in Indonesia, T. Kardin Pisau.  He has been making knives for U.S. Special Forces units for about 2 decades IIRC.  Made with D2 tool steel.  Great balance, razor sharp, and in mint condition.  Has the U.S. Special Forces seal on the other side, along with the name of some MSG assigned to A/ 5TH BN/ 19TH SFG.  Etched on the sheath is the seal of the Indonesian Special Forces, Kopassus.

Was offered a Mercworx Orion for trade about 9 months ago.  As you can see, I turned down the offer.

No, it didn't come with the knfe.  The para wrap prevents the knife from fitting properly in the original sheath.  It's a Blackhawk and you can get it here, or any stocking dealer.

Emerson PUK.  I didn't like the chisel grind, so I re-profiled it (both sides) to 20 degrees.  Damn fine knife.

I made the sheath.  About time to make a new one - it's getting a little beat-up.   Plus I learned from my mistakes - it was my first attempt.

They aren't.  About the only good knife they are making anymore is the LMF II.

It's a kershaw outcast. Suprisingly good blade for the money I might add, although I wouldn't put it up against a rat or busse. I have used it out camping and it chops like a pro.

My biggest complaint about the outcast as it came was the handle, it was too spongey and transferred shock from chopping too much. The wrap made all the difference in the world to me. I just used the same method (more or less) Mick Strider uses, he has a little tutorial here.

No, I just used the lanyard hole. It took a few tries to get it right.

Thanks. I like mine quite a bit. It is a great size for EDC, which is saying a lot for a fixed blade.

Right on. Where did you pick that up at? Was it at CDNN when that had a special on them? They are difficult to find in that size now. Thanks for any info.

Yup, it was on sale for 30$ at CDNN. This is my second one. I wish I could find my kydex sheath from the first one. :(
