Well, I finally broke down and went "tactical".  I've always enjoyed knives, but more of those with a hunting flavor.

I have been looking for something  tactical in nature, and decided on the M1 Lightfoot.

It seems pretty nice, although ?I admit I'm a neophyte.  Well made, and ergonomic.

I'll just have to figger out how to sharpne this bad boy, as I've never seen a blade that is sharpened in this fashion.  Any tips?

It looks like only one side of the blade is ground, just like the CRKT knife I got.

Use a fine stone and get yourself a serration sharpening rod.

Go slow and easy and dont sharpen the flat side too much.
