Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Hornady 750 A-Max need crimping?

Ran into a good deal on 750gr A-Max and picked up all 400 at $1 each
I'm loading for my M107a1 at 214 grain Hodgdon H50BMG and seating to 5.450 to fit mags

The question I have do they need to be crimped or is the neck tension good enough?

If it was a single shot I would say no but being a semi, there's that chance that the recoil could pull the other bullets out of their cases.

So, try a very light crimp and see what you get.
