Buy a stock rifle and replace the barrel with a match chambered barrel from lilja or kreiger.
Replace the trigger with a jewell benchrest too and you'll have a rifle that would be considered national match quality. The chamber and the barrel contour are the only differences from the stock A1. The differences didn't make that much of a difference, so they stopped production. |

I will bet you will be very pleased with the normal AR 50. Mine is really accurate with handloads and a quick search will show alot of others are to. If i remember right people had problems with some surplus ammo in there NM ones. I think it was how close the chamber was cut. The barrel was 33" and the stock was green i believe, and that was the only differences. I may be wrong. Either way, you'll love the regulR one .

Finaly got me an AR50 and ARsR4ME was rght, I'm very happy with it.
Took a while due to neck surgery, but after the Doc cleared me I took it out today an it's a BLAST !

Adapter and Bipod is GG&G,
Scope is a Vortex PST, Rings are medium Vortex but will be changed to extra high (See other thread) No other modifications, yet |

Not sure if your interested but this is a ar50 before they machine it. :) Neat huh.
I had to cut that tang off the butt stock. It bugged me. 
Your gonna love that rifle for a long time man. |
