Been following this Safety Harbor build. Turned out real nice. Well I should get off my butt and add my SHTF to the 50 photo section LOL. Again, turned out nice.

Thanks. Where is your pic? Almost tempted to put iron sites on it for now until I shoot it. Want to get a feel for it. Do they make iron sites for 50's?

Any AR iron sights will work. I'm not sure what people around here on the 50BMG forum would recommend but I think any quality maker would suffice.

Posted this photo in the 50cal general discussion by mistake but here is the same photo taken late last year shortly after I finished the build. Safety Harbor SHTF50 BMG repeater, 18" barrel, standard rail. Lower is Black Rain forged. The stock is a collapsible Magpul UBR I had lying around from another project & bipod is a Atlas. Scope is a Bushnell ELITE TACTICAL HDMR 3.5-21x 50mm. Rings are 34mm 6/4 Seekins.

Gun is purring like a kitten with minimal issues. Occasionally a stuck brass when the chamber was new and tight. It has since loosened up nearing the 100rd mark. Gun is shooting around 2 MOA with ball and API.

Fixed that garish table cloth-kitty placemats photo. This ones much easier on the eyes......

Nice. What gun is that? Bet the snow really flew after you pulled the trigger.

It's an LAR Grizzly.

My supervisor shot it, lost his footing and went right down on his ass.

He said it felt like someone pushed him off balance and then tossed him a bar-bell.

I did.  But he's in uniform - I'm not allowed to post it.

It sure circulated around the office though.

Thanks for the info. A pic of mine is on the previous page. Some days I wish I was back in Texas so I could shoot mine more as plenty of places down there to shoot. Not that good up here in north country.

Long story short. Buddy of mine passed away in a plane crash two days after my B-day in 14'. I purchased this from his family to help financially. Didn't even shoot it till his 1 year anniversary. But it's an m82a1 sporting a Niteforce scope. Buddy of mine taking a shot. We were indoors and only 25m BUT this was my first time shooting a .50bmg ever. New shooting facility (Thunderbird Firearms Academy) in our town and I was making sure their 50bmg rated backstop held up.

My first 50. Has a Burris MTAC 6.5-20 on it. Hope to shoot it as soon as the 2ft of snow melts!

Put her in a case today. Plano 109540 Field case. Just shy of 75lbs with two boxes of ammo.

Less than 100 rounds through it and it is in like new shape.

I thought the SHOTs bipods were some of the best out there?
