Who has good quality yet reasonably priced .50-bmg ammo?
I have heard bad thing about talon, yugo, and Maine ammo.
Does any one know of a site for good ammo?

I've been shooting Talon in my M99 with zero problems. I too have read some posts about their older ammo having headspace problems, but those have supposedly been addressed with tighter QC.

Same here. I don't shoot the 50 a whole lot, but from the 120 rounds of talon through it there has been no problems. I bought it from www.ammoman.com.

Talon ball is fine. I just bought another 300 rounds of their ball from www.ammunitionstore.com. I shot a 5 shoot group today at 600 yards measuring 3.85 inches by 2.80 inches using it in my AR-50. At 703 yards (laser range finder) 4.5inches by 4 inches.

Half MOA from Ball ammo at $1/round plus shipping aint bad in my book.

Having had probs with Maine Cart. Co., in the past, in other calibers and the fact the owner was a complete asshole about it, I dont buy anything they make.

I shot a bunch of Yugo(IK 98) pretty accurate, about 1 1/4" or less groups at 100 yards. But clean your rifle after your done shooting (corrosive primers) cheap too, bout a $1 round

Man I love that Yugo ammo, BUT! yes clean well definitely! I cleaned the hell out of mine and failed to clean the muzzle brake properly and it left a geen tinge which scared the hell out of me, it cleaned off of my parkerizing but it gave me a scare and I thought it could get worse if left unchecked.

Yugo shoots well for me as well, but the Talon ball is doing better. Here's a link to rounds 50-55 I shoot yesterday. Now Im afraid to clean the damn thing!
