I believe they run a proprietary magazine based on a modified FAL design. I don't think you can modify your own FAL mags either - you are probably stuck buying FN factory magazines.

Yes they are a modified FAL magazine. C Products has a 10 and 25 round SCAR Heavy that will be for sale in 2 weeks. We developed them for the military. DSA has a 20. C Products also has the SCAR Light magazines for sale. 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 round. All of the magazines have the new "Enhanced Magazine Catch System". Larry |

Someone over at FNForum successfully modified a FAL mag. The factory Mk17 mag is slightly longer (front to back), so performance & reliability may be an issue, but this guy was able to get it to work for him. YMMV.

Metric. The Britiah L1A1 is not a FAL.

That being said, the next step is magazines being sent to the military for evaluation and approval. I know that we have been moving the release date out but it is very important that this magazine is right the first time, This will be the go to magazine for the military and LE. The order of production is military first and commercial second. The commercial magazines should be available in limited production within the next 20 business days. Larry |

Will they have a base plate similar to the FN magazines?
If so, will it fit FAL mags, and be available separately? Will you be making FAL mags, soon, too? :-) Thanks.. |

Will you be producing them in FDE or will that be a "self help" job? No matter either way... What about the plastic floor plate? The mags will function without them but it would be a good accessory.

We will have the FDE and the FN color available in 3 weeks. The SCAR lights are available in FDE now. Larry If anyone is at Ft Benning this week the SCAR Heavy 25 round is at my booth. |
