How do you like that KDG stock?  Any issues with canted screws on the rear of the receiver?

My 17 had slightly caddywampus screws, but I don’t know if that was from the stock or not because some reportedly come from the factory like that. I will say that in my opinion, the guns are a little overgassed from the factory. I dropped a 1.35mm gas jet from PMM into the gas port and that calmed it down quite a bit. When I run it on the suppressed setting, it usually won’t lock the bolt carrier back so that’s too little gas. I’ll be trying a 1.30mm soon to see if that gets it to where the bolt carrier doesn’t make any contact with the rear support, but is just enough to make a full cycle. I also added the GG&G rear QD on the right side and have a KDG QD on the left to try to beef up the support back there. I definitely recommend getting a smaller gas jet though before anything else.

Haven’t seen many MI SSR rail extensions. I just ordered one though so soon as this trip is over I hope to install it and post here again.

She’s amazing. Now to start reading about optics. Leaning towards a TA33 or TA11.

Congrats!  IMO, the TA11 is a match made in heaven for a 308 battle rifle...  Great eyerefief and eyebox, it's very quick for running and gunning.

That FN Columbia SC logo on side looks huge.  I wonder when they started plastering it on like that?

That's what the consensus seems to be, I've seen a couple pop up in the EE but I don't have the bones for it right now. You wouldn't happen to be running an ATPIAL or DBAL as well, would you?

I couldn't tell ya if or when it changed. This was the first SCAR 17s I've ever handled and nabbed it fresh off the truck. They carried it into the stock room talking about "a 17 finally came in".

It shoots amazing if not a bit "odd". I've owned multiple AR308's, a PTR, an M1A and a couple different FAL's. The 17's impulse is just "different". Light, mildly sharp and right into the shoulder. I'm impressed.

FN changed their civilian branch from "FNH USA" to "FN America" sometime in the last year. When they changed names they changed the wording on the side from the FNH USA, Fredericksburg VA to just FN, Columbia SC.

And yes, the font size is a lot bigger.

Nope, not that I can tell. all the adjustments still work fine and the laser holds a zero. No extreme round counts or anything, but certainly not a safe queen. I wouldn't tell you not to do it.

That's the lightest upper color I've seen on a SCAR. Most are either green or gold.

I cant compare the two, but I have a TA110 on mine and I can say I love it on there.
If youre going to go with an ACOG, the TA11 is an awesome choice.

I switched it from a PA 1-8 Platinum, so sometimes I miss having a variable optic... but the ACOG definitely feels like it was meant to be there.

I’ve had this two years but I am always late to the party…
Classic ‘throw that shit on the bed’ picture for you all.

Super Scar trigger, PMM rail eliminators, wearing a nice TA47 w/red triangle that I just picked up in the EE, instead of its usual TA11.
I got the 47 for my ACR but figured I would try it on this. I am liking it more than I thought I would like a x2 AGOG. Very clear and much lighter than the 11 for sure. I think it is going to end up on the ACR based on ballistics, this optic should be on a 5.56 rifle and the TA11 on the 17.

That’s a crappy after market magazine which does not hold the bolt back at all

Yes, those are NF rings. Can't help you on height though; I'm guessing 1.375" based on the Unimount I had of that height.
