I am looking into suppressors for a 10.5" SBR.

What are you running and what works well?

YHM Phantom - haven't shot it much (100 rnds or so) but so far so good. 11.5 upper.

if you're going the MK18 route, KAC QDSS-NT4. I'm trying to save up for one now. Major-Malfunction has great prices on them

I run a LibertySuppressors Constitution can on my 10.5 LMT. Never had an issue. I love it actually.

I'm fixing to run a spector length YHM diamond rail on it. Then it will really look sweet.

Gemtech G5 on my mega billet/mono 10.5 noveske. No issues.

AAC M42k Mod 08 here. Very nice fit and finish and cool multicam pouch it came with. I also like the blackout FH when its not mounted(does make a tuning fork noise though)

I went with the AAC M4-2000.
After shooting it a bit I noticed it was starting to beat up my blast baffles so I installed the 51 tooth brakes.
Loud as a grenade without the suppressor and after a mag or two it feels like your front teeth go numb.
But when you have the suppressor on it saves the baffles from getting chewed up.
I have 2500 rounds of M193 through the one I use the most without incident.

ADCO M4-S

Waiting on the form 4 to come back. Light, small, and CHEAP. Not as quiet as full size can though.

yhm here, just waiting on the ol' form 4

DAmn I can't wait for my paperwork to get back!

Something with a generous blast baffle aperture, ie, not the YHM.

10.3" M16 w/7.62 Phantom. The YHM Brake takes all the beating. And I run this fucker hard. The can is also used on a 12.5" LR308 with no baffle damage through thousands of rounds. I only use H335 powder if that means anything.I am looking at the PWS -YHM Brake next.

You know, now that Mike from American Manufacturing appears to be back in the business, you might look at the Triple-X Warrior. It never got the attention of the more trendy silencers, but it's built like a tank. I've used mine on a 7.5" barrel with no issues. I mostly use it on an 11.5" barrel.

It's got a generous enough aperture in the baffles that you can shoot a .308 through it with no issues.

YHM on mine I run a 11.5

Another vote for the Ops M4-S. Small, light and cheap.

I'm waiting for my halo to get approved. With any luck it will be in the next few weeks although I'm sending my lmt 10.5 inch upper back to lmt tomorrow as I'm having issues with some types of ammo. Most of what I've read is that the halo is built to take a beating and it doesn't require a special mount. Just a 5 dollar set of peal washers and the stock a2 flash hider. Would have looked at the kac but this was a good deal cheaper.

Use an A1 on your HALO and you don't have to mess with the shim kit.

Is that a stock 10.5 MRP barrel? If so, how did you set it up for the M4-S? I thought the barrel was too short to run the M4-S on the MRP 10.5.

The peal washer set is cheaper then an a1 flash hider.

Not to hijack the OPs thread, but I couldn't agree more
I have an AAC M4-2000 awaiting a tax stamp and just installed an AAC Brakeout on a 12.5" barrel. Stooooopid loud first outing! Wow

Yep, stock 10.5" MRP barrel. Just added the Ops adapter ADCO sells to the end of the barrel then the brake onto the adapter. Now I can use my M4-S, 14th, 15th or 16th models. Here is a pic without the can.

Can hardly wait for my Form 4.

Alot of good choices mentioned. I went with the AAC M4 2000. I would suggest going with a suppressor that you can use a break with. The short barrels will wear the blast baffel alot faster. I also like the Gemtech G5, but they don't have a break mount avaliable that I know of.

Please tell which surpressor is safe to shoot without hearing protection? I am leaning toward these three and would like to know who is softer on the Ears including these KAC M4QDSS, Gemtech and ACC M4-2000 ???

On a 10.5" barrel you'd be hard pressed to find a true hearing safe suppressor.
I have a M4-2000 and bystanders only a few feet away never complain about the sound.
But as the shooter I can only fire a few rounds without the suppressor and then I'll start to get ringing in my ears.

New video of me today with the LWRC 10.5" upper and AAC M4-2000 suppressor.

I shoot my Liberty Suppressor Constitution without earplugs all the time on my 10.5, and it doesn't hurt my ears at all. Yeah, its kinda loud, but not enough to causing ringing. Granted my ears are shot from 2 deployments, but still.
