Hello,

My ASR mount ring is very hard to turn. First half turn is easy, second half is damn hard. Is it supposed to be like that or did I get a lemon?

Thank you.

Sounds like mine. First half of the rotation is easy, second half takes some effort. But once it's locked down, it's on there. By "damn hard," are you not able to lock it completely?

My specwar is the same way. Generally you are between teeth on the mount and it takes alot of force to close ring. Try starting to close ring and see where teeth and groove line up. Backing off mount ever so slightly can let teeth line up and it will lock on easier. Some mounts line up perfect some do not.

When I was playing with my omega at my dealer, I noticed and was wondering the same thing. Good to hear it is normal.

That’s the way I keep me mine.

I have one that is fairly loose and I’m paranoid it will come off.

Better a little tighter.

Sounds fairly normal, seen a lot that are fairly tight from the factory.

Mine was like that initially.  It got easier over time.
