Thoughts?  I checked out the jg and colossic on google.  Seems interesting.  I have held the bolt forward with my thumb before, but this seems like it would work better...

Anyone using one?

I looked into them a few months back and the colossic was the only one who had them in stock. All of the others I found were sold out. I just couldn't justify the $75.00 price tag.

Just check their site and they have went up in price. The have also updated their website and looks like they have updated the design and added a new color.

Colossic link $85.00

I went the PWS Summit route instead of using a bolt lock.

Yup that's what I saw too.  Wonder if they work worth a dam.  Seems like the colossic one could possibly interfere with your thumb or hand over the stock, maybe not.  I'm guessing lefties are already disqualified by the looks of it.  (Not a lefty)

Thats the best route but I think they no longer make those receivers and they are expensive. But it is the best.

No bolt lock for me.

That said I have a second Gemtech Mist equipped 96/22 to scratch the locked bolt itch.

I found a video quite some time ago where they metered with and without a bolt lock. They couldn’t find a difference.

How about a $2 magnet from eBay.
Then again I've been called a cheapass a time or two

Link to $2 magnet? Also, without knowing what it looks like as I type this, how do you use it? It's function may be apparent after seeing the shape of the magnet. I've been fine with CCI SV but I also like cheap problem solving techniques!

Thanks to both of you! Both solutions look handy and cheap for the amount of time I would actually use a bolt lock.

I'll see you, and raise you a piece of 5.56mm brass from the range deck.
