I forgot to bring my suppressor pouch and of course this happened:

So what do I do?

Shoot it and get it hot again and scrape it off?

Take some type of brush to it and scrape it off?

Yup, be careful. I'd use a towel soaked in CLP or something to wipe it off once it's hot.

Shoot it hot.

Wipe off with acetone and cotton cloth.

so, i didn't want to admit this.k. but the other day i melted my sico pouch to my specwar 556..

it melted and burned on.. bad

i tried scraping it with a plastic tool, but that wasn't going anywhere.

took it to my shop and used a bench grinder with a brass brush wheel, came off in 3 minutes and then i just wiped off the brass residue.

no damage to the finish whatsoever, quick and easy that only cost me a pouch and some pride trying to explain a smoking silencer to the people in the lane next to me at the range

I had someone lay mine down on a blue plastic tarp. Melted on to a whole side of the can. It was stuck on real tough. I didn’t do anything and it just burned off over the next shooting session or two.

Did that to mine as well. I just dumped a few mags through it and it mostly burnt off. Left a shinny spot but it doesn’t bother me.

Mine usually just gets burned flesh on it.

Shoot it hot. Wipe off with CLP.  Don’t use an old range bag as a rag.

Same. And it usually doesn’t even leave a mark...on the can.

People pay for such things, leave as a badge of courage and move on.

I had the same thing happen. Take a heat gun to it and wipe it off.

100 percent serious.

Don't soak the rag. Just a bit to remove the sticky mess.

Cloth chars. Everything else melts.

Science yo!

Careful of hot stuff and acetone..... Much better to try acetone on rag while suppressor is COLD
